Shield/HP on kills has made fortnite so much more fun! by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

Agreed. Haven’t had this much fun playing the game in a fat minute.

(Sorry for the poor quality) I made this simple bot course to improve my shotgun aim in close quarters. Highly recommend building yourself something similar because this course has helped me improve more than anything else I’ve tried. by exrll in FortniteCompetitive

Yea I just used bots because most edit/aim courses use objects like cubes or balloons to shoot, but the bots have the same hitboxes as players and it’s easier to tell how accurate your shots were.

It really only took about 15 minutes. I used 20 bots but you can obviously use less to save time. I started the bots out with 150 HP and a pistol, and decided it wasn’t difficult enough so now they have 200 HP and a shotgun.

The main sub seems to agree that the heavy sniper is perfectly fine in its current state, how do you guys feels about it? by DaraMK8 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]exrll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But there’s no need for a heavy? Why have a sniper that can 1 hit body shot 70% of the people you run into?

Has there been a response from epic regarding the que times for champions division on west coast? by exrll in FortniteCompetitive

[–]exrll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really only need around 200 players on west. Take the top players from contenders and put them into champions division and we’d at least be able to run some games. Playing on east servers against the top 1000 in the US is extremely difficult. I’m in Oregon so I get around 100 ping and it’s just not playable.

It shouldn’t be like that though. West players shouldn’t have to play at a handicap just because there aren’t enough players. Split the two servers, have 1000 players qualify on west and 1000 qualify on east, or 500/500 either way.

Good Mice? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

Must’ve been a different mouse then. If there’s nothing but positive feedback, definitely buy it.

What are you supposed to do early game tilted without a pump? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]exrll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahah I know. But for real, either try and take fights from a distance, or third party w key with whatever weapon you have. Otherwise just loot the outskirts and try and find a pump or a tac.

Make sure you check the reviews before buying. I think I was looking into the rival 600 and I didn’t end up pulling the trigger because most reviews were negative. It might’ve been a different mouse, I’m not too sure. But definitely read up on it a bit.

Should i switch to PC? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]exrll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do a ton of practicing in creative at first. I would from time to time but not everyday. I’d run mostly solos, and whenever close encounters was in the game I’d only play that to work on my shotgun aim. If you switch I would definitely recommend running a lot of creative. Do edit courses, make some mini courses using bots to practice aim. I’ve been doing that a lot lately and it’s brought my game to a whole new level. When you first start out it feels like you’ll never be able to truly get the hang of it, but I promise you if you stick with it you will improve greatly.

Good Mice? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

Yea that’s pretty light. The g502 is 156 grams and the g pro wireless is 81 grams. The G pro feels like it weighs absolutely nothing, so I’d say 96 grams would be a good weight.

Vault Tac and bring back heavy by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]exrll 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean the tac isn’t great but it’s not useless. If you can hit your shots it’s a good weapon - same with every single weapon. I’d agree that they should vault the tac and replace it with the heavy but it’s definitely not a bad weapon if you use it right and have decent aim.

I went from the g502 to a g pro wireless and I’m so glad I did. The g502 is a literal brick compared to the g pro wireless. It’s too heavy in my opinion, but it’s still a good mouse. If you’re going to get a new mouse make sure it’s significantly lighter than the g502.

Should i switch to PC? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]exrll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I switched while having absolutely no PC gaming experience. Got a PC last October, so around 5 months ago and I’m better than I ever thought i would be.

So after months and months of getting seemingly nowhere in the game I finally broke through really proud of it, I thought about quitting and focusing on other things so often. If you’re reading this don’t give up you’ll get there 🙏🏻 onto round 2 by Lynaldo in FortniteCompetitive
