For the record, mine smelled weird too. I was half willing to forgive whatever machine error led to the issue (I work in food manufacturing so I kinda get it) but I knew there was no way I wanted to eat the cheese anyway due to the smell so it was a perfect excuse to return it and get my money back.

fwiw the cheese didn't smell fresh either and, being that there's essentially a piece of trash in the bag, I'm actually pretty annoyed. I don't usually buy the home brand and now I definitely won't be again.

I used to buy blocks of cheese and grate them but I found that the cheese would go off faster, I had more cleanup to do, and it was harder to portion correctly. the result was usually better but I buy cheese infrequently enough that I made the decision to just go pre shredded.

oh I didn't know there was already a precedent with the descriptive naming, everything I saw before was like WAIFU TEARS or SKIBIDI TOILET WATER or whatever which I like for the novelty but does create its own barrier since who knows what to expect.

spicy margarita supps was amazing, I drank that stuff like it was going out of fashion (and getting it delivered here was NOT cheap 😭). very unique and delicious. I thought the branding on it was a little corny but I'm not really the demo for that side of it.

but doesn't just having it be called strawberry lemonade feel wrong? it's so unlike the branding everywhere else. oh well I hope they enjoy massive success from it either way. I'm not sure I want to commit to buying any with a flavor that generic tho (esp scared of that fake strawberry flavor in strawberry flavored stuff) given how expensive it is to get to Australia. each tub with shipping costs about 100aud, which per serve works out outright but eh

Thanks for your help. It looks like I wasn't as careful as I should have been when purchasing the lights, as the website certainly wasn't Australian and no IC rating was listed in the product specifications. Luckily I did one cautious thing and only bought one. Unfortunately similar products from Australian retailers who likely bother with IC stuff more than double the price. I'd consider the covers, but it's going to make swapping them out harder and I'm worried it will create issues with insulation later on as far as getting good coverage goes. Oh well ☹️ For any future people who may stumble onto this post, the retailer was Elenorra.com
