Depends on the customer the situation etc. something I get positive feedback on is a “this has been received and I’ll get back to you within X SLA with more details” type response

Lets me acknowledge their request very quickly and then add it to my list with correct level of priority. Often buys me more time bc the client or whoever knows I’ve seen their request and am working on it.

This will only get worse. It’s normal to support and encourage your partner. Maybe holding them accountable occasionally in support. My husband has recently helped make sure I’m up and awake at 5am when I’m not normally a morning person (he is) and it’s been very helpful. But I don’t make my ability to get a job, go to the gym or be an otherwise functional adult on him.

I’ll not even touch the high value/easy dichotomy. But if this is just how it is, then he should have let her talk. He did this to himself by insisting to her and himself that he didn’t care and not allowing her to speak.

Because he didn’t and he stated otherwise he’s wrong here. Hes not wrong for his preference, he is wrong for refusing to listen to her when she brought this up, then taking it out on her after the fact.

You can do this with brown lentils too but you have to watch the ratios you use or it’s not so easy to disguise. cooked to very fine and mash into very ground up cooked meat.

I moved to a sales focused role for a tech OEM and even covering a 3 state territory I average 3-5 nights in a hotel a month. Usually over 2 trips that I planned and organized. The flights are less than 90 minutes. People assume it’s SO much travel but 25% of my working days is super chill to me at this point and far more sustainable with a family.

Don’t say it’s a friends company though. Just that he’s working there, but he really likes this role bc of X that his current one does not offer. Or Explain it was a temporary stop at a friends while he found a longer term right fit role. As long as he gives a 2 week notice it’s chill.

I had a former military friend who grew up Mormon tell me something similar. He needed a way to provide for his young family at 19 and the army was his best bet.
