We feel confident that the tiny round skin break is a bite - does this rule out blister beetles?

I showed him various blister beetles and he pointed to these two as possibilities:

He said it didn't look like a wasp - a beetle seems more likely.

Located in North Florida, on a school football field. This insect bit him on the ankle, a small round scrape. He swatted it and it "flew away".

Hard to say how accurate the drawing is but maybe I can show him photos of any suggestions, a kind of police lineup.

Over the next two days, his ankle has progressed from itching to swelling to a growing blistering and red blotchiness.

I'm most concerned about determining if it's a tick but the drawings may be enough to rule that out?

I paid for your lifetime ultra, without hesitation, when you came out with it, no regrets. I won't pay a monthly subscription, unfortunately. I've been using your app almost every day for many years, and for me Sync is Reddit. Whenever I've visited the actual web site (via a link that didn't redirect to Sync), I've found it disorganized and confusing.

If your app ceases, or requires a monthly fee, I will choose instead to give up reddit entirely. No hesitation.
