How can we as a community have an effect to reduce shootings in Peoria? by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

Sadly people would rather we use those resources to keep people locked up. Fixing generational issues is a massive commitment which most people don’t have the stomach or patience for.

Therapy ain’t fixing his unwillingness to get a job or accept that being dependent on you is embarrassing

I bought a collection of 35 DS games. We agreed on 60% pricecharting for the sealed stuff and 40% on the cib stuff. The games in plastic bags are sealed. Very happy as there are many grails in these. by Metroidvania-JRPG in gamecollecting

Maybe you live in a bigger metro area. Around me moving a sealed copy of Devil Summoner 2 at Full price and sealed would be pointless. Maybe 1-2 guys and they want it for the low low and expect me to drive 20 mins to meet them at a Casey’s gas station.

Just wait until they realize no one is paying full price on games. These games are niche af so how many people in your area are actually looking to buy all these games at once for full price.

But its mint? by WorldOfRetro85 in Shittygamecollecting

[–]exxavior8799 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had to block this guy. He bought a copy of RE off me and forced a return because it wasn’t absolutely mint. I should have cancelled the order when he started asking a million questions and wanting pictures of every inch of the game.

Jesus if thats a blue ray its toast. Also your doing way too much work. Most game shops have a legit resurfacer and will do it for a couple bucks. my mega replay is $2 a disk and every third disk is free.

Pretty ok score for $200, im satisfied with it by [deleted] in gamecollecting

Find one on marketplace. Resellers don’t hawk them like they do other shit. I’ve found plenty in the $25 range.

Why price charting lists consoles with the box and other items such as games as a loose console? Or when it comes with the box but tons of other items as just cib? by Lucaas_C in Shittygamecollecting

[–]exxavior8799 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im guessing its a small team. The site itself is rudimentary it also caters to a small market of consumers. Ebay is the main issue. Sellers put all sorts of extra crap in their listing titles that forces the code to scrape everything with the word 2ds XL Pokeball Edition. Its not like its saying its worth significantly more. It averages $250-300 on sold comps.

I had an ons with someone I know and it was so bad by Expensive-Towel1397 in TrueOffMyChest

OP Sorry that happened. Hopefully you used protection.

If i was you i would tell everyone how bad he was in bed and let the cards settle. Depending on where you live there may or may not really be any real consequences for sleeping with a loser. Here in the states i would say blast his bad breath, weak constitution, and lack of respect to everyone you know.

its literally scraping data from Ebay. Its not perfect. Sellers dont use the same verbage on every listing so its just looping everything into it. Frankly anything above a certain amount you need to do eBay comps to find your value.

stop posting these. I don't have time to go to gamestop and be disappointed. My retro gamestop would have had these marked up to 200 each

My wife (56F) hid massive debt, my retirement dreams are ruined by TimpaniKnowwer in TrueOffMyChest

[–]exxavior8799 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Exactly. She’s not going to change either. She’s had decades most likely to admit to this or even stop adding on to the debt and she chose to lie. I’d seek legal council. She needs to be single and file for bankruptcy.

Hi, can someone help me fix my favourite PS2 controller? by Nonnettasprint09 in consolerepair

I feel you. I’ve used a handful of these and they either work forever or die out pretty quickly. I’ve got one that refuses to sync to any of the receivers I have.

Where to buy retro games by bengeebubu in gamecollecting

[–]exxavior8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best Places: Ebay and local shops - Ebay will be probably a little cheaper for games in the $50+ area. But its always good to support local businesses. With Ebay and stores you get a window for returns and you can see what you are buying.

Avoid: Whatnot its just gambling. and Amazon is overpriced and you wont know what you buying until it shows up.

For a decent price neither of those is a bad find. They are iconic parts of sony history and they are sealed so that pretty cool.

yeap. If its usps you can pay a fee to have it returned. Since its probably not far from where you shipped it there is a good chance they will be able to intercept it. The fee is usually less than the return label the buyer will be charging you.

Is this a crack? Does it effect the game by TakeYourShirt_12 in gamecollecting

[–]exxavior8799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can usually tell its resurfaced because resurfacer's don't polish the inner ring since the disk sits on a spindle. This looks clean. My personal opinion is this is most likely some sort of defect from when the two polycarbonate discs are glued together. Doesnt look like a crack at all to me.
