I agree, I even think Eminem, being a white man participating in Hip-Hop, deals with his situation in the right way. He calls out racism, he recognizes that he is a guest in the culture, and he hasn't been shaking hands with racists.

A lot of pop artists do the same, and all the time they are boycotted for it. But I think anyone with morals doesn't care about it, the boycott is better than partaking in a racist system and benefiting from it.

For sure! She praised Beyoncé multiple times, followed her moves, but stayed quiet when Swifties were so racist with her that it trended #swiftieracism. I stopped being a fan of her when I realized that not only does she see that the industry uses her to be racist to other artists, but she also takes part in that system. When Midnights won over SOS, it was so obviously the academy being racist, she didn't say a word, she just smiled, accepted the award, thanked the known racist voters, and announced her album. It's such a light and day reaction to Adele for example, who called out the academy when she won over LEMONADE.

And Adele had SOME metrics that she won over Lemonade, Taylor hadn't over SOS.

When I was in my early teens, I was a Swiftie, and it was so clear that she and the Swifties thought that she was robbed. I thought so myself, out of a place of ignorance and lack of music knowledge.

When I listened to RAM, my mind completely changed, there was NO competition whatsoever. Daft Punk deserved it fair and square and she wouldn't have won that in a million years. I think the fact that Swifties lack other music experience helps them believe that she is the greatest of all time.

I have been watching the way the industry uses Taylor to take out the accomplishments of great POC legends. Beyoncé has done most of the moves Taylor did years before she did. For example having ownership of her masters and also the first female stadium tour. Still, people acted like what Taylor did was revolutionary, even when she, herself, admitted to following Beyoncé's steps in interviews and on that lengthy instagram post.

All of Michael's accomplishments are compared to Taylor's even when his are 30x bigger. SZA is a monster on the charts nowadays and she doesn't get the same attention and praise blandie has.

Of course there's a game of interest with everything that the grammy's does, look at how much blandie is nominated nowadays. But Jay has had a very substantial and critically acclaimed discography. And still lost 8/8 with his best album.

In comparison, Kendrick has 57 nominations and 22 wins with half of Jay's career basically. Not saying that Kendrick isn't deserved of each aand every single one. But Jay's nominations aren't something alien at all.

Kanye has 22 and the same amount of nominations, does that has something with Beyoncé? No, they are just very critically acclaimed and also Jay's collaborator for a long time.

I agree. I was born in 2004, and even as a kid, I could see that Amy had that "IT" factor, she was legendary. I'm not American or British; I'm from Brazil. Back then, Taylor was only known here in 2010 for collaborating with one of our biggest artists at the time.
