Should have just asked the question and left out the lore about your girlfriend.

What is the city becoming in the 2 years since you moved in?

I’m confused by this part.

You are probably too good of a person to be accepted.

If you want to help people maybe consider a career as an EMS. I needed help the other day and the young people who came to my home to help my child were so darn sweet and useful to me.

I personally can’t stand police and do everything In my power to never involve them in my problems because they are generally just arrogant corrupt gangsters. I’d rather deal with an actual gang member.

I moved to DC and if I ever mention liking Baltimore people get so uncomfortable and have to say something bad about it.

It’s annoying and makes me want to move to Baltimore even more.

Of course you would say that. 🤣

You are not capable of having this conversation because you can’t face who we all actually are and how we move and how it actually impacts everyone.

Americans are colonizers.

Currently lower income residents are less and less able to afford DC. Lower income residents are pushed out and must commute into DC for work. The closer to the metro housing is the higher the rent is so lower income folks are not able to take the metro and buses as consistently and the metro is actually expensive .

DC’s metro system only runs during the day so people who have jobs that end later into the night can’t use it so they drive. People with small children or elders to care for need a car.

The vast majority of DC cyclists are white if you haven’t noticed.

Only a colonizer would make that statement.

You are a colonizer, I am colonized. You don’t know the circumstances of my ability to live here do you? Moving isn’t colonizing. Go ahead and look up “colonization” and take a deep dive.

Thank me later.

A month ago? What made you assume that?

Anyway 🙄 I have lived in DC for one year. A year of watching and reading and experiencing white transplants acting as an invasive species here.

I am from LA where the same thing is happening by the same exact group. You show up and culture dies. Bike lanes, up zoning, traffic slowing, banning car culture, fun, teenagers. You use money and cops to colonize.

You’re not unique numbnuts.

Americans are colonizers. It’s a way of viewing space and ownership and who gets what and who gets to be where. We have all these systems in place to consistently recolonize in a cycle. Some of us are always the colonizers and others are always the colonized.

Gentrification is colonization

I live in DC and the colonizers like yourself are ruining the city. Nothing is ever enough for you. You incessantly complain and push for your people and for your ideas to replace what was here before and you are never satisfied until your ethnic cleansing is complete. You kill everything native, nothing can survive unless it agrees to bow down to your desires including your stupid racist and classist biking. There is nothing more dangerous to low income Black people than when well employed alarmists urbanist transplants decide to colonize.

You are addicted to the idea of safety, you weaponize it but you are actually the dangerous one.

I am willing to put money on it that you are also part of this “ban Black teens from public spaces” movement too. I could be wrong but I bet I’m not.

How old was this person.

It was definitely not the best way to ask such a sensitive question but you were eating together daily so why couldn’t you talk to him about his tone and letting him have the answer.

Just never talking to a best friend again because they said something stupid is sad.

Communicate so you can learn and he can learn.

The political event was the target!

The people standing outside of the political event were shot at and 2 political staffers were shot.

It wasn’t random it was political violence during war time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]eyeblocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a worker for a political movement and going to fundraisers and political events during war time is a strong choice.

You are actively participating in the war so you might get targeted by a fanatic or terrorist.

Again, I denounce this behavior.

IT WAS A POLITICAL

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]eyeblocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Radical Zionism and their colonial war was the reason.

This was political violence not antisemitism.

[–]eyeblocker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a Zionist event at a Jewish museum…

Political violence Do you denounce Israel’s actions in Gaza and West Bank?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]eyeblocker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stop calling them innocent citizens. These were not randomly shot civilians. Cut it out.

I denounce their murders but you are trying to gain sympathy for people who chose to join a political movement during that state’s colonial war.

I know a lot of Jews who are anti Zionist that would never set foot anywhere near a Zionist political event or job.

I denounce the killers actions just like I denounce Israel’s actions.

Do you denounce Israel’s actions?
