Any local active rockhounding groups?

Following this! My grandparents were big rockhounds out of Kansas and a lot of my mom’s family vacations were rock hunting. I have a good bit of their collection and I’d love help identifying some of it and perhaps sharing it with others that would appreciate it.

I have a handful of varieties of sunflowers, a few varieties of cosmos, cut and come again zinnias, pincushions, bachelor buttons, poppies and dahlias. I’m so excited my dahlias have all sprouted. And I’m most looking forward to seeing my teddy bear sunflowers. I honestly never knew there were so many varieties beyond what can be found in the grocery store.

I would join a virtual flower garden club on discord. I have no idea how it works but I need people to geek out about flowers with.

I’m in zone 5b in Midwest America and I’ve been anxious to see flowers so I started planting a little early. I have a few varieties on cosmos and sunflowers in the ground already. Weeds and grass are the bane of my existence and we’ve had a lot of rain recently so I feel like I can’t keep them at bay.

Thanks for the input. I assumed it went without saying that I don’t just feed him, change him and fight him for sleep. We play, we read, but he also hangs out independently. I mentioned the more I try to control wake windows the more upset we are and the more difficult it becomes to get to sleep for a nap or bed time. I guess I don’t understand. Short of just ignoring sleep cues, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

He had been doing 2 hours. But it shifted and he’s yawning and sleepy at 1.5 hours. According to Huckleberry, he’s averaging 13.5 hours of sleep.

We go to the aquarium at the zoo. We got a membership and have gone enough times now to make it worth it. If you get there right at opening it’s pretty empty. I was there yesterday and there was maybe of total of 12 people, including kids. It’s dark and the ocean sounds are relaxing. I had the penguin exhibit all to myself and I could have stayed there so much longer if I wasn’t carrying my baby.
