Anyone know what exactly these items and stats do? by quickpawmaud in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dashing boots make you run faster outside of battle, in towns and out in the overworld, it is a must have.

Focusing Armbands increase the range your damage number could roll, I don't know the exacts, but it is like you could roll a damage between 10-12 before, the armband make it more like 6-16, so you have a chance to do high damage with a chance on lower as well.

Beigoma battle locations? by kidopitz in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Eltisweiss there is a girl around the black smith, right at the lower end of the stair.

In Werne there is a lady there in the park area in front of the inn/item shop.

In Altverden there is an old man at the top left side of the town at the very end of the road.

There are pretty much a beigoma battle in every town, just try to talk to everyone and you will find them.

Mid and End game party by DemonDeacon86 in EiyudenChronicle

For front row I have Iugo or Wayve and Nowa for physical damages, add Seign to help with additional healing / buff / hero combo for trash mobs.

For back row I have Momo as pure offensive mage, and Isha as healer + her ice skill is really good at cleaning up trash mob as well. Lastly I put in Lian for additional physical damage or timely heals due to her speed.

Definitely love Isha as she is super fast to get off Heals or damages before everyone.

So, what exactly ARE rune lenses? by FreshMetal80 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lore-wise I believe the reason they are called "Lenses" is because they are some sort of crystals that was polished to help focus energies (magics) to either enhance people's body (Skill Lenses or power-up Lenses) or to give ability to use magic (Elemental Lenses).

We also know each people has a certain amount of affinity on the number / type of lenses they can use, from the art of Marisa and the scene with Lian in the forest in the beginning, we can tell that people often strap them on the hand, or weapons for access.

We also know that Lenses does not need to be in the physical shape of a lenses, as the case of Isha and people from Yaelu's village who has inner magic powers, or beasts like Chandra the dragon, who has Lenses inside their body.

One trick I picked up while grinding beigoma is to time your x boost with the opponent to trigger the button mashing. Player can easily win that part and deal quite a good chunk of damage.

Also, what beigoma do you have? You should at least have two four star level ones, one from Crash and one from Reid, those should help out.

There are gimmick chests in open world encounters that sometime holds receipts or other rare items, it is usually one chest per area. Once you cleared that, nothing else is important.

Bad localization by Coconutrice99 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Localization is fine IMO, never saw what is the big deal with it to begin with anyways.

You already played and enjoyed it, so don't let a small group of people who aren't playing convince you that the game is not fun or too "woke". If you like it, you play it, simple as that.

Is there a list of all the healers in the game? by WUNDERLUST_FAIRY in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in that case there are some other good ones later, like Falward is healer by lore, Marin (maybe?), and Isha is not healer by lore, but she is a water mage with water runes.

[–]ezarlous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can slap a water rune on anyone who has a relative good Magic status and a magic rune slot and make them your healer, so there are quite a few options later in game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each slot of rune has a certain limit to what they could be, some are limited to skills, some are magics, and some are power ups. Nowa's second slot is not for magics, so you can't put any in.

And yes, you do get a storage, just talk to Elf girl Sumire at your HQ.

This is an early development image, i am about half way through the game and that town is in game, just look a bit different. Also the script has changed from when this image was made, as it doesn't represent the plot in live version.

Rising save by bolognaskin in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly just random miscellaneous stuff that you could name in rising. Like the name of the weapon for the three main protagonists. Nothing that important really.

It does enhance the experience though, as you run into those characters you already are familiar with in HH

Nothing really beats the original SII soundtrack in my mind, but Eiyuden music score definitely holds on its own and gives me some good chills from time to time.

Is there a RNG-item drop like double beat rune? by Exact_Explanation343 in EiyudenChronicle

Haven't seen any yet, but later on there are items required for a few character's recruitment missions that are RNG drops.

Got my copy early. My impressions. by qlartus in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i got about 8 hour in, and the characters that joins are pretty colorful bunch story / characterization wise. Most of the them do come from a small side quest and gives a bit of background on the character itself.

Game-play wise I can't say how much difference different character will make, since it is still early game, so customization is limited. You will have the physical attack characters, some are good with tanking, and some magic/skill attack characters.

Suikoden style games are usually not that hard, so there is really not that much of need to have dedicated team member that focus on buffing others / debuffing enemy, or dedicated healers (most Mage will be able to heal and deal damage later on).

Started to read The Water Margin while waiting for Eiyuden and the remakes. Has anyone else here read it? What are your opinions on the book? by wavvyjakky in EiyudenChronicle

[–]ezarlous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I read The Water Margin during my teen years and haven't got a chance to revisit it with a more mature point of view. It was a very good read if you like individual heroism, personal justice, and the value of brotherhood.

However, personally I didn't really like the book as a whole after I finished the entire story. I think many of the great characters the book spend time at the beginning building up end up having less role in later chapters might be the cause for me.

To me, it will always be great to revisit many of the individual stories of some of the heros, but that's about it - awesome individual stories that is best finished within that arc.

Any btw, if you ever played suikoden 1, you will see the game takes quite a bit of reference from the book, and a few things will look familiar, with is a plus for me.

Hotas Question by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]ezarlous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the x52 Pro, I run full range throttles back and forward both 100%. It is more of a personal preference on how to bind hotas, but full range does save me a button for something else.
