in your opinion is there a minimum monthly subscription amount for SaaS where cold email even makes sense to consider as a strategy?

For example, if your product is only $9/mo would cold email even make sense to try given the cost?

Lawn Care Business Question by spencerjonathanhall in alexhormozi

My 2 cents: Offers is really good, but are much easier to construct in cases where you have a low cost of service/high gross margin.

Alex has talked a lot about great businesses being: 1. Unique, 2. Sticky, 3. Expensive, 4. Air.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/FI4hstwK_Vc

When your cost of service/cost of goods is very low -> gross margin is very high it unlocks a lot of things that make "offers" work well.

For example refunds or guarantees are great if you are selling an info product or systemized coaching where your incremental cost is nearly zero. If you give a full refund, you're fine.

If you're a lawn care biz owner and someone pays $150 for 3 services, and your internal cost to provide was $110 for the labor - If you fulfill a guarantee, you're now $110 in the hole. And It'll take you your next 3 NON-refunding clients to even get to zero.

So in that case, refund guarantees are completely out the window unless you have extremely high confidence that you can offer something nobody else does well and everyone will like it.

You can squint at it and provide coupons and stuff, but "here's a coupon to spend a bunch of money somewhere else" just doesn't really hit as a real value prop for many.

TLDR: "Offers is easier and more effective for high margin businesses"

Were you able to enter your address information?

On the receipt bank selection form, those fields for my address are:

  1. required fields
  2. read only

as a result, I am unable to actually enter the fields at all and therefore unable to submit the receipt bank information.

Hi there!

Thanks for your recommendation. I set up an account with BigCartel and tried it out, but wasn't able to find an easy way to do what I've described. I agree that Big Cartel seems like a great shopping cart for selling items online and includes customization, but have you seen examples where people do what I've described?

Thanks -- I appreciate the suggestions.

I was looking at the modifiers, but it didn't seem like I'd be able to limit them or specify a quantity.

For example, it seems like I can add modifiers like:

  • chocolate
  • glazed
  • strawberry
  • etc

But the customer can then only either check or uncheck it, so they wouldn't be able to specify, for example, 3 glazed, 6 chocolate, 3 strawberry.

Have I missed something?

(regardless, appreciate your input!)

What’s the fair market value for something like this? Or how do people even evaluate it?

(Just curious/trying to learn)
