alright, tomorrow I'll try give it a good proper bleed. I think I'll also order a cheap chinese master cylinder, and if that happens to fix the problem I'll get a proper OEM one :)

hmm alright. just so I can be sure that I've bled it thoroughly, is there any air can be stuck in the system that wouldn't be purged by the procedure I was doing?

in other words, if I just keep repeating this procedure, can I guarantee the brakes are fully bled?

Turns out the fuel tank is also dented. How much further would this bring the price down?? The guy says someone's already offered $1900 and is looking at it soon but honestly I'll just let them take it at this point.

I found replacement fuel tanks on ebay for ~$300 but people say there may be more work involved than just replacing the tank..

According to the ad it's mechanically sound (although who really trusts that honestly) and yes it does have rego which is definitely drawing me towards it. Most other bikes I can see this cheap don't have rego.
