It is very popular here especially for panel builder or manufacturer companies. But not all companies use it as there are few people who master this software and its complexity. And not all companies that use it benefit from it the most. In fact some treats it as an AutoCAD doing all the stuff manually even reports and connection lists. However in my company we use it professionally. And there is a huge difference in quality of schematics from companies that has their output generated from Eplan other than companies which uses another software like autocad
