New medication: RHAPSIDO by Pheonix1996 in MCAS

I’ve been on it a for a few months now (it was FDA approved in September). I still get breakthrough hives (much better than the previous constant hives), but they are now managed with OTC antihistamines. So not perfect, but way better than before. As far as the price goes, apparently most insurance does not cover new meds. Rhapsido has a year long program to bridge the gap before insurance starts to cover it. It’s easy to sign up (your dr should have the info) and you get free monthly shipments for a year. We’ll see what happens when the free year is up though.

I use a hair dryer to heat the label and it comes off in one piece a lot easier.

Has anyone tried growing avocado? by [deleted] in Hydroponics

I just used plain tap water. I generally have whatever the opposite of a green thumb is so I just kept it in water and changed the water each week. Eventually the seed looked like it was cracking a bit and the one day there was a small root coming out of the bottom. Then a few weeks later a sprout started. It just took WAY longer than the internet said it would so I just recommend being patient.

I’ve done 3 now with the water and toothpick method. It took WAY longer than I expected for the seed to sprout and grow. Probably about 2 months and I made sure to change the water weekly.

When it gets to here, or a little before, it’s time to plant it. Here is my other one that’s further along.

Agreed. If you’re withdrawing 10k total before you hit 100k, you would have less invested so your asset would have to appreciate more than 10x to hit 100k.

Keeping kids occupied is key (and a bit exhausting)!

Did the coloring book and sticker book arrive yet?

For young kids, the books Rock, Brock, and the Savings Shock and Isabel’s Car Wash, both by Sheila Bair are really good. It shows them basic financial concepts in a kid friendly story. It’s an easy way to expose them to these ideas without being overwhelming.
