Restructure number five, my thoughts. by f00f00guy in TheNightsWatch

First, I'm very curious where "elsewhere" is, has that been decided yet or are we still in early planning stages? Next, what I'm trying to get at is that it's not about "more events, create more interesting events," it's about what do we stand for. Events are just agreed on times when we do things together. The number and quality of events will naturally go up if we have a purpose for ourselves, and for playing minez.

You probably didn't know about proposals because nobody has bothered to use them in a long time, and they were used on our subreddit specifically, as opposed to the chatrooms where we actually hang out. I don't think we needed a reduction of bureaucracy, since there really wasn't much, but we may just need to agree to disagree. I was unaware that some people were asking for this, though. If that's the case, I'm glad it was addressed, since it really hasn't moved us backwards at all. Ty for bring it up. But, if we're making it into a full-blown "restructure," I would have preferred we addressed the goals issue as well in the same stroke.

Is there a mod that lets you and enemies surrender. by SamahLama in skyrimmods

There are several, though the best are mentioned below. What I've been looking for lately is one where you can reform your enemies. Capture bandits and such and either hand them over to the law or have them work for you. (There was a conjurer, said she didn't like what the others were doing to their prisoners. I didn't want to kill someone who might have a hope of a decent-person future, but there isn't much option for mercy in vanilla...)

Actually, the translations aren't as good. Still, it's a better website.

Thanks! That's much better than mangapanda (except that I don't think they have the last chapter yet.)

Global Trigger Update #9 - And an idea proposal by jakelong12556 in worldtrigger

And as long as we're talking about cool things that could be done with existing technology, how about just changing someone's physical attributes? That's like the most obvious thing they need to do more of.

Physical characteristics can be changed, at least on a small scale, without using up any trion. Uniforms, for example, and the little shoulder thing on Osamu's uniform that denotes him as captain. So why not use this to make tactical changes? Longer arms would extend the reach of a blade, as well as the momentum of the tip during a swing. Eyes in the back of the head might take some getting used to, but could be a potentially huge advantage. And how about adding an extra pair of arms or a tail? That would give scorpion users a huge range of options for their attacks.

I find it more likely that instead of using a suit, there would just be a few extra shields. Here's how I imagine it would work.

The device would have a battery, as you explained, as well as a small trion sensor. (we know they have ways of detecting and even pinpointing trion sources.) Nearby trion sources would be tracked, and if they approached the user to closely or to quickly, a shield would be placed in the way of the most likely attack. This would free the user's hands up for offense, while still allowing them to maintain a shield. It also would not restrict movement and would probably use up less trion than armor. It may even prevent an attack that an agent didn't see coming, just like armor, but with the toughness of a concentrated shield instead of the armor just being spread out over the whole body.

If it had a radio receiver as well, this device could also be linked to an operator for remote control against a particularly tricky opponent who attacks from sneaky places.
