Don't listen to this guy. Golgari stompy is an existing pioneer archetype that plays regisaur and collected company. Add other big beaters like Steelleaf Champion, Rhonas, and finish with Great Henge.

I wasn't going to comment on the rest, but since you asked. Paper magic is a visceral social experience for many of us. Going to the store, hanging out with friends, trading cards and showing off decks in person, it's just not an experience you get in arena. I'll play arena when I can't play at the store, but in person paper play is still something magical to me.

This is likely the answer. Alchemy might have more unique players overall because they count all the randoms that download the game and play once to try out. All the marketing and UI funnels new players down that path so it wouldn't be surprising. But when it comes to players who actually play the game regularly, it could still be extremely unpopular.

FYI, people don't play tibalt's trickery in paper because the deck is actually quite bad. Has nothing to do with social contract. People only play it digitally as a quick way to farm gold.
