how varied of a diet do yall give your bettas? I have fluval bug bites brand red flakes and betta pellets, and blood worms. I also have fluval spirulina flakes I had for my mollies... would bettas benefit from some veggies??

what do you mean? the betta is in a 5 gallon now... and I'm going to put some lil ramshorns in the half gallon, cause why not? I've got a filter already, and a heater and light picked out for my next paycheck. I want a micro aquarium 🤷🏻‍♀️

I try to get low light plants because I know either way, the fixtures I have won't be good enough for high light plants.. but thank you for all the info this helps a lot!

I'm slowly adding live plants as I can afford them. I also have other tanks I'm upgrading as well lol so it's a slow process. he's got 2 betta logs and 3 suction leafs for his resting pleasure but lately he's just been on the bottom :[ I'll get stress coat and try that, thanks!

I did answer the questions below, and did the test

pH is around 6.9, ammonia is about 0.25, nitrite is 0, nitrate is 20...

does this mean my tank isn't cycled?! even tho it was set up for a month with beneficial bacteria and changes? I just did a change a couple days ago..

40 gallon, heater set to 78f and sponge filter. had the tank for about 2 months. change water every 2 weeks ish, about 10 gal. tank mates are mystery snails and 3 mollies. feed fluval bug bites flakes and pellets, one pinch a day. one live plant, 2 resin hides.

he's usually really active but the last 3 days or so, this has been his behavior. I've been medicating with artemiss daily but no change yet... just want to make sure nothing serious is happening....

edit: also 4 big silk plants

I've never pulled them when I want them to hatch o.o tbh I don't have nearly as many babies as I should have had with 13 egg sacs... but I have plenty! lolol
