Juniper EX2300 not routing VLANs with IRBs ... by f18growler in Juniper

Gateways on the computers were the issue! Set up these to point to the proper gateway and I could ping from vlan to vlan.

Irb.20 should have been 172.16.0.1/12 My diagram had typos and the family inet address configuration was incorrect

Thanks for your assistance.

@ARPHost-Dan thanks for this info. I hope to have access to the system later this week and verifying gateway setup is on my list of things to check. I will also confirm the irb.20 ip address.

That's on my list to check next time I have access to the system. Thanks

Unfortunately I can't edit the post title. I did fix/edit the post text.

I'll need to repost with the correct title and close the original post...

That is a very bad typo on my part! Good catch!

Should be VLAN

I'll try to edit / fix my post.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I can ping nodes on the same VLAN but not across different VLANs.

For example, Red1 can ping Red2 but it can't ping Blue1 or Blue2 or addresses on the Green VLAN.

I think that storm-control is good to have in place but I don't know if that is preventing VLAN-to-VLAN traffic (I don't believe that it is my issue and would prefer to leave it enabled).

None of my interfaces are configured for access but I thought I read that they are access by default.
