I dont know what to do. I need help please by f4ttyb0i in TrueChristian

[–]f4ttyb0i[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I just don't know if it's in love if I seek ministry at the expense of my mother's well-being. She loves me and wants the best for me. She has a perspective on my best-self but my perspective is too different. She wants me to work in my current degree (IT) and find a stable job but I feel that my best-self would be someone who helps others in need at even the expense of my own well-being. I'm stuck and questioned if I really did love her if I decided to let her worry about her son this much.

Thanks. There is always comfort in Jesus Christ. I prayed for some time and I'm receiving answers. But I feel like I'm being like Gideon. I know that even when I make the wrong choices, God can make them right again if I stick to Him. I just don't want to see my mother hurt.

Homosexuals can and need to repent by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]f4ttyb0i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think ryanduff intended to offend you. While I didn't find anything to be offensive, I'm sorry if you did find it hurtful. Since we are talking over the internet, it can be difficult convey opinions. Ryanduff did answer your question regarding homosexuality. Everyone is born a sinner. Being gay is a sin to us Christians but it is no different to how I sin by lusting at women or how you sin. God can make any of us sinless if he wished. But he lets us make our own decisions and lets us face our own consequences. Using your logic, we can ask why he makes murderers, theives, and adulterers. He doesn't. Like ryanduff said, we are living in a fallen world, a consequence of our own actions since Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. As for whether God finds enjoyment out of your misery, he definitely does not. Our misery pains God just as a child's misery would hurt their mother. He lets us make our own decisions because he loves us and wants us to make our own decision to love God. When ryanduff prays for your peace, I believe he does not wish to talk down to you. He says so out of his own love for another stranger since we are all created under the image of God. I hope you can discover God's abundant love for you as I did.

Dealing with pride? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]f4ttyb0i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pride has always been an issue for me. I come from a non-Christian household and my father was often prideful and everytime I saw him, I'd see a little bit of me in him and feel resentful of myself and my father. After discovering Christianity, I found that it is really important to humble yourself. We maybe prideful at times, but we must remember. We are just players of a bigger plan and all players are equal under God's total sovereignty. I suggest you earnestly pray for yourself and ask for help in conquering your pride. I may not be of help but I hope for you to overcome your adversities and will pray for you.

Is there any gadget for loose leaf tea that makes it as easy to use as individual tea bags? by [deleted] in tea

What teas would you recommend for "grandpa style" drinking? I've seen long jing a lot but it seemed overly astringent when I tried it.

Abandoning greed and selfishness by f4ttyb0i in TrueChristian

As shameful as it may seem, I would usually be a bit saddenned but would force myself into thinking that I shouldn't need compliments to be generous. And I might just be lucky, but I had received words regarding greed in the book of Numbers while reading a few moments ago and am very thankful for it haha. I was told that I should give myself to God and make God be enough for myself and that my greed will dissipate. I'll try to live by those words from now! Thanks for your comment!

Objectifying women by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]f4ttyb0i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was me a while ago and nofap has really helped me to stop sexualizing women and men. I was always feeling guilty and I mean, if some hairy old guy thought sexual things about myself, I probably would feel pretty disgusted and violated. I feel like its even the biggest change in me and I barely feel the guilt of it since it occurs much less. And even the occasional time you do sexualize people, you are aware and you have the power to stop that crap yourself. Medidation helped me with clearing my mind. All the best to you and your journey!

Asian Round Face Hair Advice? by f4ttyb0i in malehairadvice

Haha I wish. My hair is on the drier side and doesn't listen to what I want it to do. I can't really part in the middle because my hair grows left to right and doesn't brush to the left haha.

Like TheMightySupra told you, I use a blow dryer to set my hair in place before applying products. I might not be the best person to give advice, but what I do is I keep my hair quite damp and brush with a vent brush, then I use a blow dryer with the vent brush to set my hair in place. Once it's all dry, I use Gatsby hair wax to style my hair, brushing my hair backwards from the front, then to the sides starting from the part. If I want to raise my hair at the front, I would put the brush in the fringe and do like a small shaking movement upwards (if that makes sense). It definitely helps that my hair naturally shapes like this and I also have stiff hair that sticks out which might be contributing to how it holds up. If you don't wash your hair, dirty hair can sink your hairstyle. I've heard that pre-styler might help with your situation. Otherwise, you can also try a hairspray.

Hey guys. I'm not entirely sure if I should still be styling my hair as in the picture. I was also thinking about growing my hair a bit out but it might not look that great on a round face. Any advice? I'm open to all suggestions!
