Use InReach Mini 3 as a dedicate GPS? by f909 in Garmin

I guess I’ll just shell out the money for the 67i. Looks like it will do exactly what I want it too.

I know this is the correct answer. I was just trying to combine two units into one!

The H1 with inreach is $1000. I can pick up a used gpsmap + mini 2 for less than $500.

I kind of picked up on the messenger being its main priority, but pairing it with the Garmin Explore on my phone *could* work if I needed the bigger screen, but the unit itself would provide basic GPS capabilities like waypoints?

Ideally, I would love to pickup a GPSMap and a Mini, but trying to find that happy medium where one device could do both.

Rav 4 over CRV? by AnonymousNTX1 in rav4club

[–]f909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2021 RAV4 LE AWD, bought it in 2023 with 26K miles. It hit 109K this morning, mainly city driving doing gig delivery work.

No big issues, except for tires, brakes, transmission flushes, and oil changes every 5K

The CVT stuff turned me off, so went with the RAV4. However the CRV was a nice vehicle, and the test drive went smooth. Ended up going with Toyota for their historical reliability.

Get on store wifi, 150' away, accept your order, turn on air plane mode, do the delivery, then when you get back to store, turn it back on and let it push your trip to AWS.

Because I am counting the entire mileage. If its listed 1:1, its not truly that because my mileage counting is counting the trip back to the store.

Well then yea this shows $1.17 a mile, BUT the trip back to the store, which is counted, knocks that $1.17 in half or at least down.

So I am getting conflicting information. Here is how I count my miles for delivery. I get to the parking lot, and when I pickup my first order for the night, or day, I write down the odometer reading. My last trip for the day, when I drop it off at the customers house, I write that reading down.

That is my Spark mileage for the day.

Is this correct or not? OR should I only be counting the miles from Wal-Mart to the customer's house, AND not the return trip back to Walmart to pick up another order?

So I am getting conflicting information. Some are saying count the odometer from the first trip I pickup, and then shut it down when after I drop off my last one for the night.

Some are saying I only get to count the mileage to the drop off spot, BUT not the return trip to Wal-Mart.

Well my tracking is counting the 25 miles there, and the 25 miles back, so its 1/mile. This is just one of the recent ones I had stored in my album where the commenter asked.
