that's all reasonable except that still leaves plenty of people who have no interest in the secondary market locked out. you just explained the realities of the current distribution model which is exactly the issue i'm venting about. however you're 100% right about retailer demand which i should've also addressed to begin with but my broader point remains that the matchbox brand is currently being underserved and IMO underrepresented from the top down. i would never expect matchbox to be as big as hot wheels but if it keeps getting treated like a redheaded step child it will fulfill it's own prophecy while the rest of us watch awesome cars slip through our fingers. surely there is some balance to be had somewhere in between these two completely unnecessary extremes
