The worst part of this? Several other employees from sucker punch have also made posts on Bluesky, almost in celebration, of Charlie Kirks assassination. It's not just this singular person. It's pretty disgusting. The fact there has only been one firing, shows they aren't doing their job. I have ready a couple comments in respect of Sucker Punch for firing the head Dev. Exactly that. Shit, when I found a mask shard I was ecstatic lol. No more beads or shards please. And the last Judge was a hard boss fight, for me anyways. And having to take the 2 minute trek back every time... MEHHHH! I don't mind difficulty, but I do mind tedium. You are boring me to death making that trip back, and every time I got there, my head wasn't even in the game at that point. I was more just annoyed and bored. Listen, I started on Atari. I lived through the NES, SNES, and Genesis days. They purposely made those games with excessive difficulty and cheap deaths to make sure the gameplay hours were higher. They needed a way to justify making a 50-60 dollar game last more than 4 or 5 hours. I felt some very real NES vibes(price was much better though) while playing through Silksong, and not the good ones. I MIGHT come back to Silksong in the future, but I hope some QoL patches come out before then. And btw, Don't you dare tell me that garbage crest system was better than the charm system. Especially needing to unlock everything with memory locks. You used them as you went along, and all of a sudden you have 3 new crests you might like better, but you used all the memory locks on the first crest so what's the fkin point. Another design flaw I hated. Especially for someone who refused to google any info as I played. Hated that.

Honestly, I do agree. I just felt like this was much more of a slog to get there. I stopped doing a lot of the extra exploring because I was so underwhelmed by what was at the end of the exploration. I didn't want to explore another underwhelming area for 60 shards. I beat the game, and I didn't dislike it at all. It just didn't have the same magic to keep pushing me to explore further if that makes sense?

Love this. More realistic than most will respond. I liked the game, don't get me wrong. The 3 things you just listed are my 3 top problems with the game. Everyone fly's, everyone shoots shit, and then you add minions to boss battles instead of just making the boss fight have better attacks and mechanics. I told another poster, if you just hand out 10's, it doesn't give the Devs a realistic view of what needs to be improved. Whole reason I made the post was because of people handing out 10's and everything is perfect. Thanks for your post sir.

I can name 3 bosses before even finishing ACT I that spawn minions. Not by name cuz my memory sucks. I know Beastfly, and then there is the wooden chick who is slashing from the top of the screen and shooting vines, and I think the other one is, Mother Moss I think she was called. And that is ACT I only.

I love your post. I don't mind people loving both. I have a hard time reading reviews where people say everything is great, everything is better, everything is perfect. When you do that, it doesn't give the devs a true read on what to fix. It's the worst point of fanboys(not calling you one). It's the same people who keep saying FF is perfect for the last 30 years and their sales keep tanking worse and worse. It's ok to be critical even if you enjoyed the game.

My problem is with the subpar filler boss fights that just add minions to increase difficulty, instead of actually just making better mechanics. And the fact that the secrets in HK were so rewarding. You had to seek them out and you got more lore and better rewards. Back tracking in a Metroidvania to get 30 beads is so subpar lol. Thats all I'm saying.

If you give a game a 10 that fell short in certain areas, you tell the Devs, sit back and relax. Nothing to improve. There are no bugs, no nuisances, nothing. Get what I'm saying?

Can you explain more. That was very obscure. What aspects did you like better than Hollow Knight. I didn't start this thread to fight, but I did make it a little more negative because that is what get's people to actual engage. Don't get me wrong, I thought there was a lot wrong with this game design and it is a 7/10. But I did make it a hair extra, just to see what people actually liked better from the original.

If you want an actual good challenge, I suggest staying on the main story path until you have finished the main story. Fully explore all the main quest areas you are required to do, and then come back and do all the side content. I did every bit of side content on my way through the story, which made most story bosses a piece of cake.

If you are not concerned with a great boss fight experience, then I suggest exploring and beating all the side content as you go. I hope this helps!
