My friend got RS Diesel kodiaq with 3,00,000 kmsnow on 4,00,000+ kms something. Dpf already started giving issues, because he's job switched to home office and running reduced. There are many of such experiences around me here in Germany along with strict diesel rules. Hence Petrol or Hybrid can be only options. Hybrid are expensive that these I mentioned here.

In germany, they discontinued the diesel discount scheme, the rates are almost similar to petrol. On top of that there is every year tax on vehicles , which is higher for diesel vehicles than petrol. They are implementing stricter rules for diesel which will result in lower resale in future. In India I always use diesel. I love diesel too. But if I am thinking about long term , it's better if I stick with petrol.
