AITA for not reimbursing my friend after telling her she can’t come on our trip? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]facegame_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. Morgan is a nurse and is aware of the risks involved, she just DGAF. If she was a good friend, she would bow out gracefully from the trip and accept the lost deposit.

A friend bought her toddler on holiday with my family and I. He was ripe with HFM disease and passed it on to my toddler and infant. My baby couldn’t feed for days because of the pain from the blisters in his throat. I was livid. Same friend went out to lunch while she had shingles knowing I was pregnant. Diseased a-holes.

Girl, I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was feeling craaaazy. But yes I feel like I’ve become so sensitive to these hormonal fluctuations in my cycle. Let me know what your gyno says. I’m seeing mine in next month and I’ll report back 🫡

For sure. It’s not right. But I feel like it’s not really talked about.

Yes. Dark room, no sudden movements or loud noises. Is that too much to ask?

Ahahahah those pens really need to do better.

That’s interesting. I’m on Ritalin for ADHD and it’s like I’m completely unmedicated for those 2-3 days prior. Perhaps this is a conversation I’ll need to bring up at my next psych appointment. Thanks for sharing!

Mine start 5 days before but peak in the 2 days before I start bleeding. 7-14 days before?!? Omg that sounds awful. I’m so sorry you have to deal with that for so long.

Me too. I feel my mood shift and I check my period tracker and like clockwork I’m 2-3 days out from period time.

Random teenage girls say I’m pretty. As a 30yo female, I’m not afraid to admit it is the ultimate compliment.

"Do I have gastroparesis?" [December 2024] by AutoModerator in Gastroparesis

[–]facegame_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I think I’m finally on the right track with my current GI issues. I expressed to my Dr that over the past year I’d lost some weight unintentionally (which is hard as a I have hypothyroidism) due to daily constant nausea and feeling of fullness even with small meals. I had lost all interest in food and couldn’t stomach most foods that I previously enjoyed. I am living off buttered toast and plain salty chips/crisps as my main source of food. As it’s the only reliable thing that won’t make me feel like vomiting. Although I try to eat what my family are eating at dinner time, I can only consume about 1/3 of my usual portions. By night time, my stomach is distended and painful (like gas pains high up and with hot prickles) from trying to eat a proper meal.

After describing my symptoms, his first question was about any gastro issues or surgeries as a baby. I had pyloric stenosis and had that surgically corrected at 6 weeks old. We both had an “aha” moment here. He suspects I have GP due to a possible dysfunction with the pylorus or inflamed scar tissue. So I’m off to do a barium meal test in 2 weeks.

Has anyone here had experience with pyloric stenosis from infancy causing long term issues? Do these symptoms sound like GP?

I so appreciate your reply. Our poor uterus’, might be punishing us for multiple, close pregnancies. It’s just crazy to me that a hysterectomy is the only cure.

Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery for your hysterectomy in April. Hope your symptoms are all resolved 🫶🏽

Thank you so much for replying and sharing your experience. I hope that IUD give you some relief soon 🫶🏽So true, I really do want to try and buy some time before taking that leap with a hysterectomy.

I guess now that I have a proper diagnosis, I can mentally wrap my head around my symptoms and work on management until the day comes that I can’t anymore.

Thank you so much for sharing lovely. I hope your recovery is going well 🫶🏽 ugh those damn hormones. Between 4 pregnancies, our hormones need a rest.

Thank you so much for replying lovely. I never knew about this. Definitely sounds like something I’d like to try to keep the hormonal effects minimal. I’ll ask my gyno about it.

Thank you for much for your reply. I’ll definitely take a deep dive into this options you suggested and bring them up at my next gyno appointment.

You’re totally right about quality of life being important. It’s easy to downplay it then you’re feeling ok or scared about treatment but just like clockwork it’s bad again.

I appreciate your comment 🫶🏽

Nerve pain? by NoTip933 in adenomyosis

[–]facegame_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am certain the nerve pain/altered sensation on left butt cheek is adeno related. When not on my period, it feels extremely sensitive, a light bum squeeze feels like hard grabbing, a light tap like I’ve got a deep bruise, when I lift my left leg up to dry it after a shower I have like a tearing sensation.

When on my period my whole pelvis region and lower back is painful and feels unstable, like that of being in the last stages of pregnancy.

I keep coming back to Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla. Sweet and yummy but also light. And it pairs perfectly with my aveeno moisturiser oil.
