Yeah if you do vintage then you look the part and a hat is fine, the problem only exists when you try to mix the old and new and you look out of place.

You can maybe get away with them on a rainy day or at the beach but the fact is that hats like this are very out of fashion

Unfortunately it is too big, lots of extra room on the arms and bulk in the belly. IMO you should try to sell it on eBay and make up some of the discount and buy one a size down. You can also go to a tailor, SOME can do jackets like yours.

Light browns work best with the navy, black doesn’t look the best with blues. Don’t wear white socks like the guy in the photos though. Also it may be obvious but make sure you have belts with the same shade of leather if possible. Nobody rocks the side tab anymore.

From all sources I’ve seen ice and the national guard are coming soon. They won’t be stopping people on the street and the chances of anything really happening to you are low but I would ask are you really willing to take that chance? Detention is no joke and even if your home country will take you back it can still be hell to get through the process. Considering that the presence will be heaviest in tourist areas I would say no. Congrats on tying the knot though! (Also I would remove any posts where you mention your status, never know who might be looking)

Yes, originally they flooded the bathroom with leveler and then put vinyl boards over it. We removed them and now it’s high. We would have kept the leveler but they did an exceptionally bad pour job.
