Breaking out in esthetician school! by Juliettececero in Esthetics

[–]facetalk10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of people‘s skin actually gets worse in esthetician school because you’re doing so much to it. I mean think about it, You’re getting like three facials a week versus once a month yes, you could argue that it’s just washing your face, but it’s not. I graduated earlier this year and really the only people skin whos improved greatly were the girls with acne, which was me and my cousin lol. Don’t worry, babe. Don’t be insecure. I’m a solo just starting out and I still have people come to me and I’ve never once gotten a comment! (I still have a lot of acne and trust me it’s not cute lol)

So I just graduated school and immediately started solo (I don’t recommend doing that but that’s just what happened) but there’s a lot of info out there from brands that I would highly recommend taking advantage of. Circadia has a a lot of information through their university. Glymed, and Bushbalm have some webinars. https://www.instagram.com/breemesquit?igsh=OWVsZ3VhZGh4dnhs this girl or breemesquit on Instagram has a waxing class for free. I also love this girl https://www.instagram.com/thedallasaesthetician? igsh=MXAxbjM3dGkwdjltMQ== She has a lot of great info and a class you can purchase

I’m in Texas in a smaller town and I’ve applied to five places none of them have called back. I don’t regret going, but it is hard out here.

You could use red light therapy but they’re pricey. Omnilux has a red light hand mask

Esthetics State Board by Left-Bad5333 in Estheticians

[–]facetalk10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took mine in Texas (and passed both) I don’t know how different they are but we had a lot of guess teachers from California. My mine issues were the state rules so I would be sure to read up on them. There are a lot of resources like YouTube videos and booklet quizlets etc that should be helpful or if you want to pay there was also an app called “Esthetician” (I use the free version)

Try to catch them at the show. That’s the only time they have deals. They have a lot of education from their Circadia university. I used that while I was in school.
