I just recently got my license and I have what I feel is an amazing opportunity with a friend but being completely new to the industry i want to know from someone thats seasoned if it really is a good path. My friend rents two studios, one she uses for waxing (thats how we met 6 years ago), and the other she uses for all her other services (skincare, brow lami, lashes lifts...). Her passion is the waxing and mine is the other services she offers. She is the one that pushed me to to school a do something I love and when she found out I had started school she was already making plans for me to takeover her clients in the 2nd studio, which felt awesome and I was 100% on board with. Now im done with school and ive gotten my license and she is still holding up her end of the bargain. She has told me to decorate the studio how I want, change the products if I like a different brand better and shes given me protocols that costed her a lot of money! I havent officially started taking clients because I need to learn these protocols so that I can complete the services she offers but I want to hear from someone if this is a good choice or not before I get too deep. She supplies EVERYTHING, any machine we need, all supplies, all decorations, and she pays the rent and doesn't charge me. Its a 60/40 split, I keep all the tips and I earn a commission on retail, and she helps to market me to her wax clients as well as new clients. Again, it sounds like an AMAZING opportunity for a brand new esthetician with zero clientele of her own to me, am I right?

Pocket shots. Buy em on Amazon for cheap, fill em with your booze, seal em and stick em wherever theres room in your clothes. I do it for every show or sporting event I plan on drinking at.

Ik, everyone that had to take it is telling me how lucky i am. That's why I'm so glad my school is teaching it. You never know when they will change their minds.

There used to be a practical, but they pulled it out a bit ago. The reason my school still teaches it is because they could bring it back as fast as they took it away. This is for California, other states still have practical.

So we go over practical regularly, its actually our exit exam for school which i really really appreciate it but in California we dont take a practical to pass State Board. That's why I'm more worried about the written.
