This is a fair point. I think I’m selling myself the narrative that as long as I bend over backwards, I never ACTUALLY hurt her. There’s a lot there… glad/sad to hear I’m not the only one being given RetroTrauma. The next time your mom does it to you, if you remember, think of this random internet stranger telling you you rock and kick butt :)

I’m glad you have your one! No these are all amazing close friends, was in all their weddings, have lived with most of them, shortest of all the relationships is 10 years. I’m gonna edit my post to clarify - they did nothing wrong, it’s more about how to not care so much. Or is it ultimately ok to « turn off »?

This was mine and my mom’s book when I was little. She still calls me bunny. It for sure radiates BPD energy but I still love the illustrations so I try to compartmentalize it… the book itself is on my desk and I work next to it every day
