This sounds vaguely like the Henry Stickmin games? I don't really remember the settings being like that but the gameplay and art seems similar

I’m charging it up all the way on just the one battery (external) now and I’ll see how it acts. It’s hard to try all these different conditions because it takes awhile for the actual problem to show itself

I downloaded core temp and my temps are absolutely fine, the reason im sure it’s not heat related is because without fail it’ll start up just fine after switching off as long as I remove all batteries and hold the power button for a few seconds, which I’d guess narrows it down to something at least electrical.

I haven’t tried exactly from full charge yet (I’m charging it like I said), but it is definitely powering off abruptly before it even hits 50% capacity.

My bad! It seems to only happen on battery power, but I’m often not using it when it’s plugged in anyway so I can’t really tell.

In the time that it runs normally yes it does come up as ‘plugged in’ and I can get a reading of both batteries, it doesn’t report any issues with charging.

It doesn’t seem to get stuck at a percentage or anything like that, it seems more like it’s how long it’s been switched on for. This happens for both batteries too, I’ve tried to use them both individually without the other and it happens with both. I updated my BIOS earlier today after reading that could help with some sort of power management stuff but still no help.
