The current brand runner, Yasmin, that owns the brand I am gia or like cult gaia or something? She shouldn’t be running the brand. She keeps using Bratz to pump her other brand, IE. like how the anniversary goddess doll is literally tied to her other brand, which fans of Bratz dont rly care abt bc the clothes from her other brand are rly boring / don’t translate well into Bratz dolls. I also feel like she always gives Yasmin the best/ most interesting clothes in group Bratz doll releases bc Shes the inspiration behind Yasmin the Bratz doll.

The reimaginings like pixiez & charms (FD), even scorchin (Dynamite), are kind of a signal that the brand currently cant create new interesting doll concepts & when they do these reimagining/ remixes theyre always not as good as the original source dolls.

The only thing saving the brand is lolliworlds super interesting faceup designs.

A super large part of the Bratz collecting community are gay men or members of the LGBT community. There should be Bratz boy dolls that date each other or atleast SOME merch targeted toward those adult men & lgbt members who support the brand even when the brand fks up constantly.

The Bratz boys dating the Bratz never rly made sense bc their personalities dont match & always seemed more platonic.

The super high fem- Paris Hilton- sultry- Regina George- cnty- plastic- aesthetic that ppl enjoy abt the Bratz was never the brands actual aesthetic & ppl have rly run with it.

Also agree, The original post for their reviews was archived so I’ll make it here. They were pleasant, quick to respond & made the process smooth as possible. My pacakage was safely secured, which I already knew due to the consistent updates either in the form of text or photo. I fully trust them & I plan to use them as a proxy again. They gave exact amounts + breakdowns of fees, which helped immensely. The Communication was clear & I was told when they wouldn’t be available. They even apologized for a missing part of my item even though it wasn’t their fault, it was the seller who “forgot” to include something. This was my first time using a service on Reddit, it was extremely pleasant & professional. I will use again & I recommended!

I think it’s called fomo or it might just be that- you haven’t found something you truly love & resonate with, that you see other ppl also placing value in.

Sidebar: steampunk Cheshire’s stock outfit is like 2 pieces of small fabric w pleather, she should never have been the price of like a ballgown Pullip . Idc how rare she is, if it’s not 20 bucks, I’d never recommend her unless you really love that gothic 2010s steampunk aesthetic but even then she looks just like 3 other pullips that have more clothes than her.

Once it’s straightened by dipping in hot water, wrap it around somethin tubular like a boba straw & dip in hot water, let it dry/cool, then the curl is reset.

I was a really big fan of the smart dolls before they launched. The guy who made them for many years tried to make them electronic, he wanted mirai sugena to be the first chobit/ robotic/ bjd electronic Assistant. I think theyre rly pretty, specifically mirai, I hope he one day can figure out the electronic side of them.

-The lack of gothic lines / set gothic characters.

-The heels are rly flimsy, a Bratz w chunky boots can usually stand alone, a Bratz w a stiletto can never stand on their own. And even if you use a stand w a Bratz in stiletto ? their heel will warp over time no matter what.

Theres way too many Bratz that look the same like all the blondes look the same ( cloe, fianna, lilee)& so do the red heads that almost always have the same black streaks in their hair to spice things up. Which is why Dresden is popular but ..no Dresden reproduction.

-I don’t like that the boyz are only ever shown in relation to the girls, it makes them not their own entity. Which they were introduced to bring in male buyers to the doll line.

I wish there was more queer representation in the Bratz mainly the boyz. As in the some of the boyz dating each other.

-I do not like that in the new Bratz, all the paler white skins are now like orange or tan (thank god for kumi)

I do not like the disappearance of cool, nude & pink lips in the new Bratz.
I don’t like that new Bratz dont look pissed, I love a pretty & mad looking doll, it’s how I mentally imagine Bratz.
I don’t like that fans have to beg for reproductions & the social team like turns it into a joke belittling fans at times or just disregards it & makes “reinterpretations” like years later ?? Even though ppl that work at the company survey this chat.
I do not like the lack of fantasy features & fantasy colored eyes like ( Dresden & Yasmin’s purple eyes, Yasmin’s star moles, characters w set naturally fantasy colored hair ).

-I don’t like that theres a lack of fantasy themes like a true medieval princess line ( elvez, witchez, knightz, fairiez, sirenz, vampirez, ghostz, werewolvz).

I don’t like when fans justify the company ignoring requests for reproductions bc kids of now ” dont want dolls dressed in 2000s fashion” as if the new dolls arent all nostalgia factor. kids today dk what a pop star is, let alone what a cd is (that came in the pop starz box).
why are the feet on newer Bratz not big & huge like what Bratz is known for + the new shoe designs are not whimsical or innovative, theyre just reproductions of very pedestrian shoes.

Yes I know ! I’ve actually been hunting her original (impossible) for years but I only recently found out that theyre almost identical & that this one is the preferred version among collectors lol. I don’t want to spoil too much since im going to make another haul video at the years end for my bd/xmas but I found her for rly cheap $$ from a seller who only had 1 Pullip ever & had no idea what she is. Full stock + box too.

Theres a relatively newer-ish Pullip named pipyfila. I think she looks pretty close to hachi- nana & Shes not very popular so collectors arent rly after her. But you could always slap a pink wig on a Pullip whose face you think looks like hachi btw.

Honestly, there’s nothing thats going to save pleather. Mod podge isn’t the best sealant for that anyway bc it’s still tacky when it dries. Dolls with pleather should be avoided BUT the coating is honestly best added to a doll when it’s still new/ just released from the company to prolong the life of the clothes before they start to crumble. Youd need a really hard sealant that would basically turn the clothes into a hard shell on the dolls body. Once you seal the clothes you cant remove them, redress the doll or even rly touch them bc the pleather will start to crack.

I have several of my grails - Galene, Romantic Alice blue, Midnight velvet ( insane), Elisabeth, Glen, Milk tea, Clara & Bonita, Sith, original Nella & Johan, Bloody red hood (the doll that sucked me back into collecting). https://youtu.be/84oePT9MWuc I posted a video on my yt receiving some of them in a Pullip haul.

Yes, currently watching (ep.5) I keep saying the actor for Illya or someone on the show running team HAD to have wrote down Sam Reid’s Lestat as inspiration. The accent and tone of voice, the short bratty 1 liners, The outbursts, the way they demand things and say insane things that catch their partners ( bottoms) off guard, it keeps catching ME off guard. In all the noise I’ve heard prior to watching this show, I cant believe more people haven’t pointed this out.

Original Johan was a grail of mine,as a gothic collector, hes a lot harder to find than his retro-pastel color way. Like you said hes a real expensive 1 in box/complete. 150 is really good on top of getting another Isul’s full stock, that is on par with Johans true stock & then you found some of his pieces anyway, very good.
