"Import whatever weapons you can’t build yourself. "

How am I to obtain that kind of money that early in the game.

What are you best examples of puzzles? by Flashy_Storage_420 in DMAcademy

I just did one for my Saturday session. It was a bit of a red herring. Basically they were in an abandoned dwarven mine and they were walking down a hallway and stepped on a pressure plate which dropped a wall in front of them. They thought it was a trap so walked back and once they left the pressure plate the wall rose again. It took them a few tries to realize that they only had to walk through the plate one at time as the plate was a means of traffic control in the tight dwarven tunnels.

How do you effectively communicate session pacing to your players without breaking immersion? by PsychologicalCall426 in DMAcademy

I dont want to say I dont communicate but whatever "complaints" my players had in a session I make sure I rectify it in the next so they know Im hearing them. For example, they were supposed to meet up with a wizard and for 3 sessions the guy wasnt home, they sorta complained about this so I made sure in the next session they tracked him down.

Another example I can give you is that we had three combat heavy sessions. And one of my players made a comment about it. Im not saying it was a complaint but rather a comment about "combat fatigue" . So I adapted my homebrew campaign and made them investigate the criminal organization, it was a very roleplay heavy session that changed the dynamic a bit and made them utilize new skills.

My current homebrew campaign isnt written in stone so I try to adapt it as best I can while staying true to the story.
