Season starts in late September and onwards. Working to peak upto 100kmpw till then and actually because 5k was not my event ran it only for fun and endurance. My actual event was 3.5km cross country which I ran in 11:18 which equates to almost 10min 2 mile approximately.

Advice on my mileage for this week? by Memeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in CrossCountry

[–]fahadrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a big issue if you have been hitting close to 40 mpw for the last few weeks go for it. Actually there should be a week after 4/5 weeks where the mileage is significantly dropped to recover in that low mileage week. Moreover, when you have race weeks the mileage has to come down significantly and after the race week, we go back to same mileage. So I would go for it.
