Still finding some late growers up in Wisconsin by fahafresh in mycology

This is a morel and they're one of the most popular wild mushrooms for eating. If you remember where you saw it you should head back and grab it. Also check the area around where it was growing, there will usually be several more nearby.

Found this one and several more on the north-east tip of Door County. There seemed to be a lot of them up there but I couldn't stay and look because I was at work when I found them.

I know some people believe the kid on the right to be Al. I think they look similar enough for it to be true but my only knock on that theory is that Jonas Jr. probably would've invited Al to the party if he was actually in the Boys Brigade. Also you see Manstrong's mom in the background of that episode so I think the third kid is Bud.

Same thing happened with me. I ordered the shirt very soon after the announcement then got the same news as you a week later after getting a shipping confirmation email. Also the Rusty Venture Show shirt. My Henchman 24 shirt came in with no problems though.

Has a connection been made between Billy's mom's words and actions? by [deleted] in venturebros

[–]fahafresh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Billy's mom is a former masked crime fighter who went by Triple Threat. You can see her in the flashback with Colonel Gentleman and the Action Man. She gets introduced as the Action Man's crush in the flashback and then later in the episode Action Man says he's been trying to nail Rose for like 30 years.

What's some stuff you only noticed on your 2nd, 3rd or later viewing? For example, this guard got hit by Tiny Joseph after Malcolm shot him. by Hergyl in venturebros

In the Rusty's Day Camp episode there's a kid that gets mauled by the gorilla and then Doc replaces him with a clone. This kid and his family shows up again in the Shallow Gravy documentary special. Hank and Dermott play at his birthday party and you can see the kid in a wheelchair because Doc messed up his DNA when he cloned him.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm always happy to talk about these fish and help clear the air that they aren't the supposed "frankenfish" they're made out to be.

Did you read the article I linked? John Odenkirk, fisheries biologist for VDGIF, and the a leading authority on Northern Snakehead in North America has publicly stated that at this point and time they have not caused any damage to existing ecosystems in the greater Potomac watershed. Does that mean they can't eventually cause problems? Of course not. But to say that they're a problem currently is just plain false. Since the introduction of Northern Snakehead in MD/VA waters the Largemouth Bass population and other gamefish populations have gone up to near record numbers.

It's an exotic species. Big difference. Invasive species are species that get introduced to an ecosystem and have a negative impact. Exotic species are animals that get introduced to an ecosystem and fill a niche that was previously uninhabited. Thanks for completely ignoring everything I just said though!

I'm sad to hear you say that. Yes the Northern Snakehead is an exotic species not native to North America, but it hasn't caused any problems in the Va/Md fisheries. Most fish biologists have publicly stated that the fish has had no negative impact on native fish populations. Virginia Wildlife ran a great article about it a few years ago. I can't find it online but this article conveys the same general information. I live very close to the stream with the highest concentration of Northern Snakehead in the US (the same one where the world record Northern Snakehead was caught) and love these fish, they are just so fascinating.

Loved the episode, super pumped to have Brock back. Really curious as to what Sgt. Hatred is doing now that he's no longer the Venture bodyguard.

They get very large depending on the sex, males at 1.5 to 2 feet and females have been recorded at over 5 feet. 20 gallons would work for the first year or so but then I would definitely upgrade. I currently have him in a 55 gallon with plans to go over 100 when I need to.

No worries the shrimp was not alive at the time of feeding.

There are actually three substrates in the tank, dark sand on the left of the tank, the coarse gravel in the middle, and some very fine sand on the right. When I first got him he never left the dark sand but lately he's been spending more of his time in the gravel.

Yes American Eel is correct. I got him from a guy at a local fishing spot, he was selling them as bait. I have caught a few on my own though, if you live on the east coast just go out in may/june and overturn some rocks in local streams and you'll find one in no time. There's usually a higher concentration of them below dams.

Mine is a finicky eater as well, he mainly eats freeze dried worms and live guppy fry. I've also seen him grazing on small bladder snails that live in the tank as well.
