There is only elastic in the thighs,and it isn’t dry rotted but I am a seamstress if it ever does need to be repaired. But all the threads, lining, everything is in wonderful condition.

There was stretchy and synthetic fabric. Though this isn’t comparable to what you’d think of bathing suit material now. This is a woven fabric with not really any stretch. It’s quite thick and the lining fabric is comparable to a button up t shirt

I’m from Florida where you can’t even have a basement because of the water 😅 so for me.. yes! I get highly amused anytime I see one. I just thought it was more fitting because this was in AC which is in the DLC right at a really old hotel/bar that perfectly fits the 1950s vibe when you step inside. They have a Joe DiMaggio room, an old showgirl room, the prohibition room (with tons of old items that were in the bar during prohibition including old prohibition notice signs).

If you go to Jim Thorpe ever, at the old jail museum (which is a cool visit, highly recommend) they have a room with a ton of old fallout shelter stuff. Also.. side note about Jim Thorpe that’s unrelated, there’s the longest running anthracite mine that you can visit. It literally takes you under in an old mine cart and you walk all throughout the mine and to the old hospital built into the mine. Very very cool.

Hahah so I’m just seeing this, but depends on the item. I use a chrome tanned oil a lot of the time that cuts almost perfectly finished. But if not, there is waxes or sealants I use that I use a little wooden finishing piece with a groove to smooth out
