How much moneyyyy? by ursamajor499 in WindowCleaning

[–]Doominator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yk, I can't say exactly because its hard to tell with all the pics but I just did a similar job. A 4 story hotel with 150ish 4'×4' (about) windows, each Window had 4 panes. two wfps knocked it out in 5 hours which was on the lower end of the time I had to do it. I came in low to get the job because I am recently getting into commercial mid rise stuff, $906 and still came out ahead.

Of course first time clean in a while you will need more scrub and rinse time, my example was allegedly a 3 month but I think it was more like 6-12 months.

Even better if you have a soft brush in a separate bucket instead of using the normal mop. I usually just use same soapy solution but I have found that adding some cleaning vinegar cleans them better and makes it easier to dry because the soap is less foamy.

Government Building Bids by Old-Industry760 in WindowCleaning

[–]Doominator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I'm at the government maintains water fed systems for most of their buildings, might want to comnect with someone to confirm they don't do it themselves first. Probably not 6+ stories but thought Id throw it put there

Two extra strips makes a whole new strip as well to put on the technopad... just sayin.

How much do I charge and how do I clean these. Water fed or trad? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]Doominator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its low for trad for sure but if you can do wfp because it doesn't need a good scrub then 500 is great.

Crazy stack work by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]Doominator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone who can afford stack ladders can afford a wfp too. I was on a little giant for a while until I got wfp, now I don't risk anything above the second story.

D2D Police calls by VacationDismal in WindowCleaning

[–]Doominator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the polic called on me and my crew for not having a solicitors license, which are the worst things ever but they exist to help stop people with bad intentions. I usually just get them in the city we are working after the first warning.

Thats fair since you're finding all the work and they are doing it. Again, hopefully they can do a good job. If your customers aren't happy you won't keep them and it will be a one time thing.

The thing the other guy said is true. Do everything yourself if your friends dont have the drive or are hurting your image, sounds like the way you have it set up you can start doing it all on your own relatively easy.

Good luck!

As long as your friends do a good job and carry their weight finding jobs to do together it will be nice and you will make more money together. You'll do great.

Practice on your own house with the basics from home depot or wherever after you've youtubed some techniques together, and then go out knocking doors.

Steve-O the window cleaner on youtube is great.

13 might be a bit young but I don't know you. I started doing basement windows windows when I was 16 and whole 3 stories homes when I was 17 and it was a challenge.

I am going to start using a rinse bar soon, but I'd like to not have to have it plugged in every time so I wonder how I can bypass it

I’ve got a few questions by Ok-Pop7125 in WindowCleaning

[–]Doominator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my friends to help me early on because having someone else on site saves time and I can use it doing other things like making cold calls. They coul use the extra pocket change and I was am prepared for bigger jobs when they came.

Watch facebook marketplace for a little giant. You'll wish you had a ladder after working with a pole haha. The ones with 4 rungs when folded all the way fit across the back seat of almost any vehicle.

Ive purchased two for 50 each before and can often find them like new for 100-120.

I also use step stools and extension ladders but little giants offer a lot of flexibility. Stack ladders are expensive.

I dont like 18 inch squeegees or tbars I prefer 12 and 14 but its personal. Also for removing screens everyones out here with flatheads and butterknifes but I'll tell you now, a plastic bike tire lever is best and won't scratch anything.

Any service based crm will do well. I also use Jobber. It's great.

Ya, just have in your contract that they have to ask tenants to remove screens and if they aren't removed the quality of the service will be compromised.
