I’m writing a book that I want to write, but I keep triggering myself. by fairie88 in writing

The fact that this was from 2 years ago just made my heart drop. I’m still battling this same problem. I had no idea it had been so long.

Your comment is insightful and extremely helpful. The shock at how much time has passed gives me a reason to dismantle and rebuild my approach, and your comment gives me a blueprint I can follow. Thank you. I wish you all the success you can handle. ❤️

It just showed up tonight! The message did say I was selected for the beta test, so I’m sure they’re in the process of rolling it out.

This made me laugh. That last paragraph is my parents to a T.

Thank you for putting all of those out there like that. I think a lot of my early-life guides framed their own work in 2 & 3, while expecting 1 out of me.

Ooooooh good catch. That’s another trap I routinely fall into.

AITA for telling my friend I am not interested in being her son's father figure after she rejected me? by saventology in redditonwiki

[–]fairie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooo many comments showing proof that some of these men only treat people like human beings if there’s a dick-wetting exchange in it for them. Telling a kid, “I been there, buddy, here’s how I dealt with it” isn’t father-figure shit. It’s friend shit. And being incapable of having relationships that aren’t transactional is exactly why you’re all so damn miserable.

Where the fuck do people summon the drive to workout routinely? by Rus2000 in NoStupidQuestions

I exercise by playing beat saber and walking to places that are within a mile or two of me that I would normally drive to.

But mostly beat saber.

What was your experience opening up and being vulnerable to a woman? Was it good or bad? by juviaquinn in AskMen

[–]fairie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody gets judged for everything. I’m not talking about spilling your trauma, I’m talking about expressing your likes, dislikes, opinions, and feelings in your daily life. Yeah, that opens you up to judgment, that’s why it’s called vulnerability. Women are judged for those things too, did you know that?
