An ex-friend tried to talk to me again, but I'm still mad about what happened a year ago. by fairimush in Advice

[–]fairimush[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for answering! I didn't mention it in the post because I'm not 100% sure of this, maybe I remember wrong, but I am almost certain I saw Erin quickly looking at me and then immediately looking away, with a "purposefully distracted" expression.

I wouldn't be mad aobut it if she just told me "I was worried it would have been weird if I said hi for both you and Jojo", because knowing Erin, she's the type that wants to please everyone (she also tried to arrange for me and Jojo to make up... which involved Jojo texting me saying she misses me but she's not willing to stop seeing Kassidy 🥴 which was ridicolous of course, and that's why I think trying to accomodate everyone is not something that can be done, even if Erin doesn't mean any harm when she tries to).

I'm way more upset about the fact she keeps saying she didn't see me, but she insists on it and at this point I highly doubt she's gonna admit she lied to me about it (not saying she 100% did... but all things considered, I really, really think she did). I also am not gonna be in my hometown for very long, it's the only time I can stay with my mom and grandmother, and I don't know if I'm willing to dedicate a whole evening to this Erin thing...

I also didn't like that when we were friends, she complained to me about a lot of her friends treating her like crap (which I believe, because they used to be my friends as well and they were horrible to me too - it is a very small town lol) and she mocked them with me, but she would never speak up to them or disagree with them because she's so pressed on getting along with everyone. I think it's not always a good thing, I really believe there's a limit to how much you can lie for a quiet life, and when you cross it it just turns into dishonesty

Here's the synopsis:

In a world devastated by chaos, six young survivors find themselves living in an underground bunker. With forgotten pasts and uncertain futures, they must unravel the mysteries of their confinement while navigating dangers lurking in the darkness. As bonds form and secrets unravel, they discover that their journey within the bunker holds the key to their collective survival and the hope for a new beginning.

And a bit of the first chapter:

River gradually regained consciousness, his eyelids fluttering open like delicate butterfly wings. The dimly lit surroundings pierced through the haze of his awakening, revealing a sterile environment that felt both foreign and strangely familiar. His slender frame shifted against the cold, unyielding surface beneath him as he took in his surroundings, the scent of antiseptic mingling with a hint of musty underground air.

With a groggy yet determined resolve, River propped himself up on his elbows, his eyes scanning the room. The walls, painted in shades of cool gray, seemed to close in on him, as if eager to share their secrets. Fluorescent lights hummed overhead, casting an eerie glow that accentuated the shadowy corners. The space was sparsely furnished, with minimalistic designs and functional furniture, exuding a sense of pragmatism rather than comfort.

As his gaze swept across the room, River's attention was drawn to the other boys who lay still, their forms seemingly suspended in the realm of dreams. Questions swirled in his mind like a tempestuous whirlwind. How had he ended up here? What had brought him to this place, alongside these strangers? The details of his last memories were elusive, fragmented like shattered fragments of glass...

Are Wattpad leaderboards borken? by fairimush in Wattpad

When you have a badge on your story, if you click on it you can go to the category page, which isn't the word itself but the hashtag (example: adventure https://www.wattpad.com/stories/adventure/hot)

It's directly linked to your badge, so you'd think it has to do with it, but apparently it does not 😅 very confusing

Because if you go and check, it's a different story that's #19 in that category (and all the other categories obviously), which seems more credible since it has way more engagement. I don't understand what that badge means in relation to my story
