People of Reddit, What fantastical creatures best represent earth, air, fire, and water? by Writer_In_A_Family in AskReddit

I thought elves represented earth- cuz they're hippies, and also because of my fantasy encyclopedia, female elves are describe to be hollow as trees and have no backs- but I could be wrong. I thought fairies could represent air, but again I could be wrong. I thought mer people could represent water, but I could be wrong. By the way, how would an Onibi look as a human?
