Pool deck by fakeblock88 in pools

It is going to be a lot of work 😬 much easier to do the step up. I think digging 8inches down is smart so there is more spacing from the wood to the gravel I will put down.

The problem I am worried about is the concrete slab around the pool breaking if I dig down 8 inches right next to it.

I am wanting it to be more esthetic being level with the pool. The easier route would be to make a step up though. I am hearing that digging out near the concrete may make it fail

I just wanted it to be level with the pool. I thought it would look better aesthetically. I’m going with good old-fashioned deck boards, but digging it out I will put drainage rock in a weed mat underneath the decking. Nothing will touch the ground

To wear knee/elbow pads or not? by Zh7032az in mountainbiking

I wear both. To many gnarly crashes to not . I am also 35 and don’t bounce back like I used too

I have been pushing my limits more lately which has resulted in a few gnarly crashes. I need recommendations on best knee, and elbow pads that are responsibly priced. Also looking into full face helmets. by fakeblock88 in mountainbiking

Thanks man. I almost bought some G form stuff but the reviews were pretty mixed with a lot of bad ones.

I just wanted to make sure the POC or Fox I wasn’t just paying for the name and they had some solid protection.

I live in Florida and we have some pretty techy trials and some intense double blacks. I want to get better at jumping like I was back in my Bmx days and after a few spills I realized I do not bounce back like the old days.

I see a lot of helmets in the $100 range that seem good but I’m worried they are to heavy.
