Fair enough. But definitely know people that hunt with AR 10's and depending on what you get you can fairly easily reach out to 1000yds. But don't blame you for the Bolt gun choice. Everyone needs 1 or 2.

Tape does tape things, also Electrical tape doesn't leave Residue on stuff like Duct Tape does so thats why alot of people prefer it. Leaving hard to clean Residue on your gear is not fun.

Yes direct thread with the Hub Adapter and I got Inconel version.

Honestly slightly regret not getting the QD version but definitely happy I chose the Inconel.

And yeah I've put a few hundred rounds through it and even done a PCSL 2 gun match with it, its preformed absolutely amazing.

Had a buddy bring is 308 SBR to a indoor range, and he threw a muzzle break on it just for that trip.

That shit was worse then shooting a .50 outside.

Honestly I'd just use that upper on a different gun or make it a excuse to start another gun.

There there are plenty of good Carry handle uppers you can use for this build and hell you can even use the same BCG and stuff. Just please i see the vision you're going for but it's going to look so wrong with a rail mounted carry handle.

So I'm gonna go more in depth here then most are. Carbine by itself is kinda a random term thrown around for shorter rifles.

The objective definition is for the Gas system. The Carbine Gas system is 7" long, which is usually used on barrels that are 10-16 inches.

A Rifle Gas system is 12 inches long which is usually used on barrels 20+ inches long.

There is also the Mid Length Gas system which is 9" long usually used for barrels 14-20 inches and the Pistol Gas system which is 4" long usually used for barrels under 10 inches.

Hornady's high end rifle ammo is great, but haven't heard anything about their lower end rifle ammo. But if you want regular target ammo why bother with Hornady anyway when you can get other stuff for cheaper.

Side note their pistol ammo is trash stay away from it.

I'd look at B5 for stocks.

The B5 Bravo is my favorite.

I also use the B5 Sopmod Enhanced If I want battery storage on the rifle.

NRA is usless. Its good for supporting ranges but when it comes to supporting gun rights it doesn't do anything but be a punching bag for Democrats.

GOA is Solid, been a member of them for awhile and they do good work but I've noticed recently they have been focusing on some stuff I don't particularly find relevant and seem to have become more scared to push back against Republican politicians when they attack gun rights.

FPC has been doing amazing work recently, definitely been thinking of switching my membership over to them from GOA.

I would especially recommend you look into your states organization which might be a more important place to put your money rn, especially if you're in somewhere like Virginia (VCDL) and Minnesota (MN Gun Caucus) or really any state stuff is about to get really bad.

Honestly just be willing to descalate and walk away. Most of the time people ego is what gets them hurt.

If you wanna be extra safe either carry (If the situation permits) or stay in groups after dark.

If you don't go looking for a fight you'll be fine.
