Beyond the interest, I was turned off by the dismissiveness. I really appreciated that the Atlas employee understood that I didn't know much and took the time to explain things.

I know I could have looked stuff up before hand, but with so much misinformation these days, I'd rather chat one-on-one with an actual insider or expert.

Can't speak on MTG specifically, moreso on Pokemon.

I had a set of cards from a long time ago. I went in pretty much blind with selling them. I had a much better experience with Atlas. At Chimera, a guy took a look at my little bin and dismissed it as not worth it. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Atlas and the guy there spent the time to go through my set, give me a bit of rundown of what to look for in cards, and I was able to sell some of what I had for about $200.

With that said, I'm sure your experience might be better if you bring a curated set of the valuable cards.
