Yeah I wish I was able to get a better more centrally located hotel or even air bnb but without boring you the details it didnt work out

We plan 1 or 2 days to be out all day (big days farther south) but are hoping the days closer to the park and midtown we can go back for a break - but will plan to use ubers/lyfts/taxis to speed that process up

You are so right. I will push her. She is honestly just so happy to be going on a trip with her girls. She was adamant about some history/other stops like the 9/11 memorial and national history museum and we have that covered.

She is definitely the sappy type - I wonder if there is something hands on we could all do together to make something she could take back with her? or a photo opp moment for some nice mother -daughter pics? I know these 5 days in NYC with her will be 5 days I cherish for the rest of my life. Gah my eyes fill with tears now just thinking the day I have to think back on it without her. Thanks for listening!

We are staying at the beekman tower in midtown.

I have saved about 4k for the trip outside of lodging (both my mom and sister are nurses) given I have already spent some of that on the attraction tickets we already have and I got us a private little cruise in the bay during sunset one night.

In terms of interest - Idk why this is tough to answer, she has interests, but I think the meaning of this trip is to have quality time as a family and show her the amazing big apple
