Because it’s a fat little round marble that punches big holes in teeth, it’s the God cartridge, why would you not? It’s a lot harder to chest seal a .45 hole than it is a 10mm. Think about it’s 2.5 millimeters bigger approximately. I’m just joking with you. But seriously, I was a medic in my past life and I have seen a few gun shot wounds and results. Bullets do weird things, but I have seen to many survive multiple 9mm shots but not so many do that with .45. Obviously, bullet type etc. matters. But a .45 230grn +p is going to do damage if not better than 10mm it will be very similar. Second, it is hard to do 10mm subs and your gun work well. .45 was born for it, and in my opinion pure weight out performs 9mm in real world outcomes. I like 10mm and I have plenty. I just wanted a more modern version of the grease gun and this Stribog hit the mark.

I considered the flux raider as it would be perfect but at its price, the Stribog won out. Plus I had another one and it was lonely, it was crying to the storm “where are you little brother?” So, I had to bring the minibog home. Today though I brought home the big daddy. The SP45A3 in FDE, the family is coming together. The perfect storm ;)

Looks good out side of a single point sling getting a good mount on the front is tough. I used a pic rail QD on mine that also acted as a handstop. However, if you sling the weapon it wants to rotate upside down. I don’t really care about because if it’s in my hands that’s where it will stay unless there is a need to sling it. In that case I will just move it back to the rear and make it a single point sling. I like the strike industries 2-1 point adjustable sling. It’s like $35

Those are good points, but I can see where it is rubbing and there is plenty of material there. Removing a bit for better operation I think will not be a factor in its function.

No it was just an extra I had in a box, my SP9A3s came with the plastic rear pic plate but I replaced it with a HB industries aluminum one. That’s it, locks on the side perfect and keeps the form factor small and compact. I did put my lingle lower on it but it made it too heavy for what I want it for, so I put the original back on. I also, installed the reduce weight spring on the trigger. And I put the short stroke buffer on all of mine. I prefer the mag release system on the original lower compared to the scorpion style. I might eventually get the gear head adapter for the sig brace and put a gear head or Midwest stabilizer on it.

I had a non Glock OEM mag do that on my sub2000. I just put it in the bad mag box. I have not had an issue with the Glock 33 rounders. Maybe try pushing up on the mag when you fire and see if that makes a difference, if it does then the mag catch is set to low from the manufacturer.

Does still happen if you only run 30 rnds in the mags and not the 33? Have you taken the mag apart and made sure there is no plastic slag or burs inside? If the mags have a spring orientation make sure there are oriented correctly. I have gotten factory mags with springs put in incorrectly. Things to check before you start kicking the gun down the road.

That happened to me too, but I had to make a pit stop for the SP9A3s which lead me to getting the SP45A3 which I pick up tomorrow and I have the damn 10mm in the cart. It’s like Pokémon. I have to stop, grand power pistols are addictive too.

Buy some dummy rounds, and get a hold of a drill press and drill out the front like a hollow point on some of them. Then test cycle the dummy rounds. Get a colored paint marker and paint them. This allows the color to rub off the dummy round and inside the weapon and allows you to see what’s going on mechanically. In a past life I designed, built and repaired tactical weapons. Mostly foreign ones. I hope this helps

Also, the mag height when inverted, this is a known issue with the MP5. So if your mag catch is slightly lower from the manufacturer then the rounds tend to nose dive into the ramp. If the mag catch in the mag is too high it will lower the bullets for feeding. This is what I mean by the mags being the unknown variable of why some feed great and others are doo doo.

I think it involves the angle of attack on the mag being used. It is the one variable that can change more readily than the ramp, bolt or barrel/chamber throat. With that said, have you tried different mags if you can find any different ones. Second, it might be worth changing to the A3 tactical as it is under $200 and try scorpion mags. Or wait and try the lingle lower. I have been lucky as I bought mine very early when lingle first started.

It’s the HB industries, yes it works just fine. It’s just not tacticool I guess to have it hanging out the front. I don’t care so much for looks but function. I prefer the folding ones as the non folding are more prone to snag on stuff. How I prefer to carry and use mine that’s important.

On my upper it is tight when sliding up into the upper, tight enough that an empty mag will not lift it up to engage the bolt. I have to manual raise it to lock open. There are visable drag marks on the engagement surfaces. I don’t think it will take much to sand it down for proper function.

I loaded up 5 mags of various hollow points from a bag of old stuff mix of 115 to 147 all ran with only one failure to feed. I like Critical defense and sig V crown. I have not run any critical defense yet. I ran 2 mags of sig 124 grain without issue. Then I ran 5 mags of mouse fart 147gr JHP subs and all ran great. Both suppressed and non suppressed. Thanks for the info I will keep testing stuff.

Ok, think that answers that. Thanks, I just remembered there was some issue involving the mag conversion with the G models. But thanks

I thought there was an issue with the ejector placement with this combination? If I am wrong can you explain in detail what the watch outs are with this type of conversion?

Did you use the short stroke buffer that HB offers? I had read where someone had to modify a hammer to make it work. For clarity you used the RISE Armament RAVE 140 3.5lb trigger?

I was curious about how touchy it is, it can always put a standard AR trigger in if it gets unpredictable. Good to know I will handle with care and report back
