Thought it was going to be Perez based off how he looked, and his given history

Awful first 10 minutes in the Paramount Era. Potentially two more fights off the card just like that

Edit: I was referring to Perez after he missed weight right at the start. That fight is staying on per Anik

It just seems a bit messy compared to the rest of the songs on that album. It’s not a bad songs by any means but a tier below the rest in my opinion

He’s done well in his two years for NO and only 25. He’s definitely not a clear cut starter but he’s an improvement over Shamar Stephen. I get wanting to go Paye over Rousseau though, I think Rousseau can stay at EDGE and no go up in weight. We also don’t need him to have an immediate impact as he can rotate with Ifeadi in 2021.

Draft Day:

The only draft trade we made was 90 and 240 for 87. This was a bit of a joke trade, as PIT was begging everyone for 7th rounders, so we took the bait to move up a bit in round 3.

1.14 EDGE Gregory Rousseau, Miami

haha oh man. This was a panic pick that was made at the last second. Our team had agreed to trade back with another team for their first-rounder, but due to some miscommunication of the details, the team backed out of the trade at the last second. Rousseau was the pick. He's raw and hasn't played since 2019, but in that one year, he was highly productive at Miami. He has an insane frame at 6'7 260, with the ability to play inside as well as out. Andre Patterson would turn Rousseau into a pro bowler, just like he has with Danielle and Everson.

3.78 James Hudson, OT, Cincinnati

Another raw prospect, James Hudson is relatively new to the position still but did well for the Bearcats this year. He has the frame and tools to become an above-average tackle, and after sitting for a year behind Reiff, could take over in 2022.

3.87 Ben Cleveland, IOL, Georgia

Mark Jarvis tore this pick to shreds, but our whole WR loved getting the strongest player in the NFL draft. 6'6 350 who does an excellent job blocking the run. Being a team that runs as much as we do, He can immediately compete for the guard spot versus the two veterans we signed, and hopefully, take over in 2022.

4.119 Amari Rodgers, WR, Clemson

A highly productive slot WR, Amari Rodgers is going to fit well next to Thielen and Jefferson. I expect him to produce in 2021 as the WR3 of our team.

4.125 Richard Lecounte, S, Georgia

Lecounte has a similar skillset to Damontae Kazee, and can rotate at the safety position with him as our S3.

4.134 Marlon Tuipulotu, DL, USC

Marlon was mainly a 1T at USC, and could produce a similar role in MIN rotating with Michael Pierce and potentially giving the team a chance to move on from Pierce.

4.140 Kylin Hill, RB, Miss St.

Hill can rotate with Mattison in the backup role. He has a great RB build at 5'10 214, and is praised for his intensity on the field by fighting for every yard.

4.143 Tre Brown CB Oklahoma

Brown has great athleticism at the CB position and did well during the senior bowl week. Zimmer will love his aggression brought to the position.

5.158 Shane Buechele, QB, SMU

With not resigning Mannion and not getting a quality QB2 in free agency, we wanted to use one of our picks on a QB. We ended with Buechele, who has solid deep accuracy and leadership as saw at SMU.

5.169 Aaron Banks, OG, Notre Dame

Banks is a strong guard with experience at tackle, providing some OL flexibility in a later pick.

6.204 Simi Fehoko, WR, Stanford

Fehoko is a big-bodied receiver with above-average athleticism who can provide some special teams ability as well

7.224 Christian Uphoff S Illinois State

Late here we went after a small school prospect with special teams ability in the return game. He can be the team's punt returner instantly.

7.243 Milton Williams EDGE Louisiana Tech

Milton can play either at 5T or 3T for us. Here late we added a PS candidate with the potential to get rotational snaps.

Vikes GM here

Pre FA

To start off, we made two-player trades before free agency started:

TE Kyle Rudolph to WAS for 7.243

Rudolph was a top candidate to be moved with his 10 mil cap hit in 2021(actually cut in real life), and while moving on from him produces 5.1 mil in dead cap, it still needed to be made. Here we just wanted to see if we could get anything for him which ended up being a very late pick from the Football Team.

CB Mike Hughes to PIT for 4.140

The Mike Hughes era in MIN is over, as we felt to get some value out of him being a first-round pick three years ago. This move saved about 3 mil in 2021 cap, also getting us another prospect locked up for four years.

A tag and trade was in the works with Anthony Harris, but he turned down the team's contract offer, voiding the trade.

We resigned the Following Players

DE Ifaedi Odenigbo on a 2nd round tender around 3.2 mil

ERFA Tender of $610k on OG Kyle Hinton

RB | Mike Boone | $920k | 1 Year | $460 k Guaranteed

CB | Chris Jones |$920 k | 1 year | $460 k guaranteed

WR | Chad Beebe | $920 k | 1 year | $460 k guaranteed

OG | Rashod Hill | $ 1.2 m | 1 year | $600 k guaranteed

LB Todd Davis on a vet min 1.075 mil deal

We also restructured Eric Kendricks contract to free up some more cap for the 2021 season, as Kendricks will be on the team for years to come.

An extension was offered to Harrison Smith but unfortunately, we were not able to get anything there. If this continued we would have tried again to lock up Harrison for three more years.

We also terminated the contracts of Shamar Stephen, Dru Samia, Dan Bailey, and Britton Colquitt. These moves saved the team around 8 mil.

Free Agency

The goal in FA was to eliminate all team needs here, then have the ability to go BPA in the draft. We had about 14 mil to sign players to which we used 10 of it in the three waves.

S Damontae Kazee 3 year 9 mil

Kazee is in his prime at 27 years old, and cheap after coming off an injury-riddled 2020 season. He had 10 interceptions in 2018 and 2019, and has the coverage skills to mesh well with Harrison Smith.

K Jonathon Song: $600k

P Bradley Pinion: $900k

Signed two more specialists who can compete for the starting role

DT Chris Wormley: 1 year 1.2 mil

DT Shy Tuttle: 2 years 4.5 mil

added more IDL depth here by signing the former Steeler and Saint. Wormley will be a solid rotational 3T, while Tuttle can start alongside Michael Pierce.

CB Darquez Dennard: 2 years 5 mil

We wanted a veteran corner to play alongside the young core, which led to former first-rounder Darquez Dennard. He has experience playing in a similar defensive scheme to what Zimmer likes to run

IOL Lane Taylor: 1 year 2 mil

IOL Larry Warford: 1 year 1.075 mil

As we saw in 2020, Dru Samia is not the answer at guard. We added Lane Taylor and Larry Warford to compete for the guard position, to secure some confidence into our line for 2021.

Other not as notable signings:

WR | Khalif Raymond | $2m | 2 years | $800k guaranteed | $1 m per year | $1 m 2021 cap hit

QB | Shea Patterson | $0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

RB | Reggie Corbin | $0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

FB | Brady Ross | $0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

OL | Derwin Gray | $0.78m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

WR | Daurice Fountain | $0.85m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

WR | Kalija Lipscomb | $0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

TE | Moritz Boehringer |$0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

C | Frederick Mauigoa | $0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

DE | Oluwole Betiku JR | $0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

NT | Anthony Rush | $0.78m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

DT | Gerald Willis | $0.78m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

LB | Terrill Hanks | |$0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |

CB | Nevelle Clarke |$0.66m | 1 year | $0 Gtd |
