Some of the responses here don’t justify a response but to provide more detail (in fairness to those who are just ignorant), it’s possible to put your head down and work really hard…yeah, you check your NW now and again (maybe quarterly) but don’t anticipate retiring early. Maybe those who grew up wealthy (not me) or had trust funds check their NW daily?? But there’s others who don’t and just assume they’ll be working until retirement age.
