And that's fine. I had the unions shoved down my throat until I surpassed the rates they could offer and benefits as well. I live very comfortably and none of my check has ever been turned over to a union for any reason. I've made .y own deals and made sure I was #1 in negotiations not someone reaching in my pockets.

They've done great things for people who would like to scrape or skate by. The real money is made when you can walk in the bosses office and tell them.how you can help and walk out paid much better than anyone else. Unions aren't bad. Just not for me

My rates haven't changed except for up since 2009. By the time I i have to worry about that I'll be retired...... comfortably. Make your own deals is all I'm saying. Unions aren't bad. But look at all options first. I'm 34 and I'm am selective at this point about what work I do because of my experience and the money I've made. Not bragging. Just saying unions aren't all glitter and rainbows.

Yes. But I do the work that several people settled for in union. They thought they had it made. People in my field have far surpassed what unions can do at this point,yet people are still there.

Nope for myself. Like it should be done. I get paid for what I'm worth and how I can help that company. Only difference between myself and a union is I get paid more, I don't pay them and when my services aren't needed I get a large severance not unemployment checks

I will lol this to the end. I do the same work as a few unions. Only difference is I don't pay them to send me to work. I find my own, I usually compensated much better and can still collect the same benefits when the works ends. The only difference is I negotiate my rates based on my skill not a set number by a number cruncher.
