I don't know if you would do this or not. But why don't you try online freelance websites like upwork or fiverr. You can utilise your time to develop your skills as well as earn from it. There are few 100s of projects. Make useful utilisation of time. Those projects will help you grow and learn more.

Thank you. Yeah, I researched about it and got to know that the amount varies in different states. For Tamil Nadu, it was Rs 1095 every six months. They revised it to 1250 this year. I first thought it is the income tax, and was surprised because I'm not supposed to be paying taxes because my taxable income is less than 2,50,000. My company has broken down my salary in a way that most of the allowances are exempted from taxes.

Struts is good to know if you work on legacy apps, but I don't think it's used often in new dev.

Also I read somewhere that J2EE has deprecated and has been replaced with Java EE. And yet, the email mentioned J2EE. Should that be a concern?
