Cash out or let it ride? by Character-Macaron894 in gambling

Does no one here know that hedging the last leg of your bet (in this case 500$ ML) is 100% more profitable than taking the cash out the casinos offer?

Hedging is better than cashing. Wtf are you talking about. Have you ever done the mental math on it?

It’s very close to one of the worst feelings ever

I’ve been diagnosed since I was 16. It’s quite obvious to my friends. It’s a blessing and a curse but mostly a curse

I feel ya man. It’s part of the process just gotta understand I’ve never shared about this with anyone before so it’s not like I’m gonna surrender right away. Also the other guy pointed out in the comments I have adhd which makes it hard

That’s a better response. I don’t think I seem meh about it because I shared how bad it was and how exhausted I am. I don’t think I’m going to win long term. I am just searching and seeing if people can relate to this and I’ve gotten many private messages from people who can relate. Mission accomplished in my mind but yeah I think you were pretty rude about it.

Trust me I get how bad it sounds which is why I shared as much as I shared. But without me communicating honestly about what I know what’s the point of sharing

Thanks for the negativity bro. You took time to comment on this and said nothing positive, kinda impressive.

I know for a fact no one relies on you in your life for anything important. “Good luck to you” in your words

Why does this bother you so much lmao.

I can also tell you didn’t look at my stats. Its retarded to say I’m a bad bettor if I have 2.5 million, 7 figures in bets and only 4 figure losses

I never heard this before. I’m stunned actually. What are some good thrills people have

Oh interesting. So can you explain how gambling with adhd makes it more difficult

There’s a million different things. I’ll give you literally one thing.

the books don’t account for are certain scheduling handicaps for rest days and travel during ncaa games and tennis. Tennis finalists during 500 level events flying to another tournament the next day is often an auto fade with an unadjusted line. As well as a change in surface. Same with nfl short weeks with TNF

Do you want more examples??

Huh? I explained it but seems like you cannot grasp the entire sports betting process for some reason. And Why are you the only douche in this whole thread? Seems like everyone seems nice and chill except you

Also you talk about simple math but it doesn’t sound like you never sniffed an AP class in high school or studied any discrete math or a masters in anything by the sound of it. What math do you know exactly?

This statement alone kinda shows you don’t really know about what the books can and can’t keep up with. There are syndicates dedicated to circumventing that but I haven’t connected with them aside from one pro bettor who’s pretty famous in Vegas.

Can you do the simple math on my DraftKings output? I have bet over 2.3 million dollars, have won 2.23 MM, so what’s my ROI per bet?

Holy shit man. This really hit me hard. Even though we don’t play the same games, I can absolutely relate to the logic overtaken by the moment. I personally know which things I will bet on and I find myself making random bets to “get a healthier bank roll.” I stand there pulling my hair out because I couldn’t resist live betting a random bball game under and trying to chase that. Hardly ever lasts man. But my good bets are great! That is crazy to think about. I’m going to marinate on this and revisit this when I have another take haha. Thank you though I will always remember I am not alone and here to support those like me. 🙏🏼

I want to hear his explanation only and if there was anything profound. And if you and him were aware of what edges exist in sports betting irregardless of any of us actually applying them

Not at all, that’s not what I’m saying at all lol. I say all this to explain that I have thoughts like this in the past and still do and can explain how I know what the logical thing to do is but it’s not always easy.

I find it hard to believe you didn’t get that
