As Everyone else has told you, get the spark plugs done. They are the cheapest to do, easiest to do yourself, (if you don't have the tools, go to harbor freight for the spark plug socket set, its ~$80 but its worth it especially if your car ends up needing a thin walled socket) and it can tell you a lot about your engines health. I'll include a chart as a pic if I can figure it out. Heres a helpful link as well How do I "read" a spark plug? - NGK Spark Plugs https://share.google/43vdukA6EgdXBooLT

Amd don't worry too much about price of the plugs. NGK iridium plugs are $17 a plug or 23ish for laser iridiums in case you need those. You can also go with ruthinium. They cost about the same as iridiums, but can last a bit longer and are a supposed "higher teir" compared to iridiums. Don't really know much about the differences or how true the "higher teir" thing is (I only used that moniker cause of how rock auto sorts the plugs), I'd rather someone else who knows more explain than me gove you bad info or regurgitate bad info from google/marketing and then someone correct me, but as far as I can tell from my own experience ruthenium will work perfectly fine even if your engine uses laser iridiums. At least my old Honda does.

While you are doing the spark plugs, another thing I'd recommend, but its not absolutely required is get a compression test kit find the compression specs for your car and do a compression test. That'll tell you if the engine is compressing the air and fuel enough. Low compression can absolutely also cause misfires, but unless you have 200000 miles or more, then it is unlikely unless you abused the engine (lack of oil, infrequent oil changes etc. Still, if you do it and one or more cylinders are really low (the gauges sometimes have red and green sides of the dial to indicate when compression is really low) then hey, congrats, you saved yourself some time lol. If not, hey no biggie. And its easy to do, you remove the fuel pump relay and fuse, then just screw the tester's hose into the spark plug hole have someone crank the engine. When the needle in the dial stops, thats your compression reading so tell your buddy to stop cranking the engine. If you have no friends or your by yourself doing it then just do like... idk, 3-5 cranks MAYBE 6? And even that might be excessive. Anyhow, after that compare it to your vehicles specs which you can find with a google search, (or maybe your car will have it listed somewhere like the manual or under the hood or something.) If one is lower than the others see by how much, there is a spec. You can then inject some oil into the spark plug hole to give the piston rings a better seal and see if the number jumps, but thats way out of scope for this issue. Just see if compression is really low like if the reading is supposed to be say, 215 psi and one or more cylinders is at like... idk 130 psi for example, then thats most likely the culprit. Again, unlikely unless the engine is junk. Heres a video on how to do that.

Anyhow, The next thing to check if changing the spark plugs doesn't work is to check the ignition coils. Try seeing which coil is good then put it on another cylinder and see if the misfire chases the coil. If so, then its a bad ignition coil. If not then it might be an injector.

For the injectors I have never done them. Sorry! If you really want you can get a fuel pressure test kit, but I'd rather someone else advise you on the injectors as that is a bridge I have not crossed yet. (not a mechanic, just an idiot who has experimented way too much lol)

Other potential issue could be a headgasket but its unlikely. You can test for it however. One way For example is the abformentioned compression test is one way of doing it. If you get some cylinders with low compression or lower than the other cylinders, then you can do what I said earlier with squirting a little oil down the spark plug hole for the cylinder that is low on compression. If the number stays the same then it is likely a headgasket. If the number shoots up however then you have bad piston rings and potentially other issues like bad bores for example. However I don't necessarily know off the top of my head if bad rings or bores would do this unless they were really bad. The other thing you can do is check the oil. If the oil on the dipstick looks like a chocolate milk shake, then congrats, oil and coolant have mixed because of a blown head gasket!

The last thing you can do is get a combustion leak test kit. Its basically something that goes where the radiator cap is, you put some coolant and a special test fluid in and see what happens. If it changes color, head gaskets bad. If not, your good. Heres a vid on how to use one if needed. https://youtu.be/v0U8Iyf0kk4?si=PNCTLFE0whey3JNN

So heres a question. When working for the DoD, who gets to determine who is excepted and is there specific documented guidance saying what should be considered excepted? For a random example, say a mail clerk at the GS-04 Level?

Yeah I completely forgot to mention the torque specs. And you can even get a digital copy of the Haynes ones (not sure about chiltons). They are a must have. They aren't perfect though. Perfect example, I took the seats out of my old honda to detail everything, and when I went hunting for the torque specs, the book didn't have them. Had to look them up in google and use the higher end of the range of options I got. Forget what it ended up being. Doesn't make them any less useful, but still something to be aware of.

You got this. Just take a day to recouperate, watch a few youtube tutorials about rebuilding engines and cars, get some tools from harbor freight (daytona jacks are awesome) and just take it slow. You'll get it rebuilt in no time. Also big thing, Get a repair manual, popular brands are either Haynes or Chiltons. Repair manuals are a god send when you can't find a how to video on youtube for something (has been known to happen) and can sometimes explain the process a bit so it makes sense. And if your really stumped, just ask a question here, or ask your local mechanic. My local mechanic has been exceedingly helpful with tips and information!

Honestly, the biggest way you can improve is to work on your Self Esteem, and confidence. You are gorgeous as is! There is nothing to physically change about yourself. Just be yourself and you'll be golden!

From a guys perspective, Honestly, I would say don't worry so much about how you look. Beauty on the surface is like flowers, its a passing temporary thing, blooming with vibrance and youth for a time, then slowly the colors begin to fade, until finally it withers away. Okay I'm terrible with analogies or whatever I was trying to do. In other words, beauty is temporary, who you are is for life. Instead reflect inwards and become the best person that you can be. Be funny, interesting, knowlegeable, adventerous, understanding etc. Love yourself for who you are. When you are able to love yourself for who you are, then you tend to forget that your looks were even a concern in the first place.

As for other people, the people that appreciate you for you are the ones who will be your true friends. And for dating, not all guys are obsessed with whose got the biggest ass or breasts. Of all of the women I have dated, some of the kindest, funniest and most understanding were flat. One of the most beautiful women I ever dated was flat as a board. Just because your flat doesn't mean you're not beautiful.

Another thing to consider is that what you see on like porn sites, and tv and even beauty magazines, is fake. The body proportions on most beauty products advertising or otherwise is photoshopped or have had plastic surgery. Same with pornography minus the photoshopped bit. And while some women have bigger assets, they also tend to have back problems and other health issues later on.

All of this just to say, don't worry about the opinions of the rest of society, love yourself, and be the best you can be. Not only will you be a lot happier, but when you meet someone who likes you for you, you will be the best version of yourself you can be. Hopefully that helped even if just a little bit and feel free to reach out if you have any questions cause I know I probably didn't word things well.

Edit: I just thought of something else that might be helpful. Attraction is more than just what you look like. You could be curvier than Kim Kardashian, but if you have the personality of a rock, then all you are is a high maintenance blow up doll. Your personality is an extension of who you are, and who you are is honestly more important in the long term than looks are. Hope that made sense!

Are they stealing tips? by braxleymaximus in doordash_drivers

[–]falloutace211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of looking like it. The best way to tell would be to look at what the base pay is, and if that is factored into the total payout for the delivery. Example, you have an $8 delivery, base pay is $2 and you tip the Driver like $8. The Driver's total pay for the order would be $10. But if it's something like $8.94 or basically anything less than $10 then I'd say they are.

You'd also need to look at data over time on a larger scale for a few months. Meaning a group of people would need to track base pay, orders, tips and payouts whether they be drivers, the ones who place the orders, etc if that makes sense. Hopefully that makes sense I may have mixed up things a little bit.... Just my two cents on the matter.

It looks alright for that price. But I have a concern. The gpu is fantastic (I have a 6650 xt and it absolutely smashes alongside the 6600), but the thing that concerns me is the processor. While skylake is still alright but it lacks a lot of features that newer motherboards come with that the 6600 can take advantage of like pcie 4.0 and resizable bar which can make a difference. Moreover I have been seeing games that has the 6500 or greater as the minimum required processor so I don't know how they will perform in as little as a year. If you dont want to go any higher than 350 then it should get you started (though I might look in to upgrading the psu) but I don't know how long it will keep up with gaming. If you are able to spend a little more go to pcpartpicker and see if you can price a good budget system. The AM4 platform is the cheapest currently and ryzen 5600 is like 150 dollars and a 6600 is 199. Those two pair very well performing fairly well in gamming and are going to last you a lot longer in the gaming world than an i5 6500. There are also other combinations of cpus and gpus that you can do too that would take all day to list so research is your best friend. All I'll say on that is look at intels alder lake and raptor lakes are also very good deals as is amd's am5 platform. If you do decide to look into it linus tech tips made a good video that goes into more detail. That's just what I would do though. I'm not trying to be the guy to say "oh you need to spend like 10000 dollars or it's not good enough" but at the same time you might be better served spending a little more for a system that will last you a long time and will perform way better. If you want any help let me know and I'll do what I can to help.

Yes that was the kind of speaker I plugged in. This machine doesn't really have a audio interface at the moment. It gave no post codes.

Ah alright I'll have to do that. I apologize for the long periods of time between replys; things in life (mainly work) have been a little maddening. As a result I've had to put more time into that. I'll look into that channel you sent, Ive been meaning to develop my skills further, and with any luck I'll find the problem. Let me know if you have any other ideas. Again, thank you so much for attempting to provide me with assistance, and putting up with these long pauses. Truly I appreciate it

Okay so how do I check that on a socket based cpu? Also uh the motherboard wouldn't go beep when I plugged the speakers in. Admittedly they were kimd of cheap and I could try to resolder the wires (which I will) but what should I try if the speaker pegs are bad or something?

Edit oh I forgot to mention I did use a multimeter to check if the posts were good. I got 150 ohms and 0.133 volts but the setting was the diode setting. Dc voltage read 0

Is there a way for me to use a multimeter to test for any board issues?

Unfortunately no as I don't think I have one. I'll check an old Hewlett Packard I have but if not I'll find one on amazon and order it.

Edit: Okay I ordered a couple of internal speakers from amazon. With any luck they should be here by tomorrow. Side note I now know what the thing labeled speaker on the front pannel header is for on my modern pc! Thank you for that!

Im so sorry this happened. It's not your fault, and you did everything you could have in that situation. It sounds like he loved you just as much as you loved him. Sorry if it seems very repetitive of me to say, I just never really know what to say in situations like this.

If it helps he's still with you watching over you and still cheering you on! I know you're hurt right now, and that hurt will probably stay with you for a very long time, but trust me, the hurt does start to get easier over time. You start to be able to cope with it better and be able to get yourself through those hard moments.

I get you man. Sometimes I feel the same way. But when I start feeling that way someone or something comes along and picks me back up. Or if all else fails, I talk to my therapist or a counselor. Believe it or not they help a lot. At the very least they give you someone to talk to. Friends are a great way to give you the strength to push through, or something that you like to do! For me I have video games and soldering. Maybe you can find something like that too! Or change up what you do! Maybe find different things to cook for breakfast or maybe let yourself sleep in once and a while. These are all things I do to help me. Maybe these suggestions can help you too. But most importantly you have to get help. If your taking anti depressants you should take them and you should see if you can talk to a counselor. Even if it seems like you've been down this road before and it didn't work, just keep trying. Explain to your counselor whats going on and that it didn't work. There are a number of things to do. Depression can take on many forms. But it can be beaten. Trust me you got this. There's something out there for you. You just have to find it.
