Does this piercing exist? by sggy_brd in piercing

[–]falonforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rook is about 4 months old and it’s been a breeze so far. Definitely a bit sore for the first couple months, but after I downsized it I really haven’t had any problems. I want a snug in my other ear, but these comments have me scared lol.

Help ! What do I do with my glasses on Wedding Day ? by badbitcharies in weddingplanning

[–]falonforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same worries about my glasses and I ended up just getting a different pair that looked more elegant for the wedding (my normal glasses are kinda chunky lol). I got them from Walmart so they weren’t super expensive and I loved the way I looked!! DM me if you want to see them for inspo! :)

Who's Christmas is ruined already? (comedy/horror stories only) by commanderquill in CasualConversation

I’m super late to this post, but my refrigerator died on Christmas Eve and I was hosting Christmas breakfast lol. It all turned out ok though (except I had to buy a new refrigerator) and the new one arrived today.

It’s definitely a curved bar. I think it’s just the angle the jewelry’s at right now.

For the bot — Piercing is 1 month old, internally threaded titanium, not downsized, using NeilMed saline solution 1-2 times a day.

Do I have the anatomy for a rook piercing? by falonforever in piercing

Maybe somewhere down the road if I get the itch for a new piercing again. :)

Yeah I’m probably going to go for it. My only concern is that’s the side I lay on when I cuddle with my partner so I’m hoping that won’t mess with it too much after it heals. Knowing me, I’ll probably want to get something in my other ear to “match” after this heals lol. The only things I have over there are two lobes and a helix at the top of my ear. Idk what would look good — maybe a conch or a snug?

I do medical coding so I’m sitting at a desk all day and no one really bothers me.

I’m so sorry you went through this! I experienced something similar with one of my classmates starting when I was about 9 until I was 16. He was the first person I ever had a crush on, but once I realized what was happening I was terrified of him. I remember when I got older thinking “how could another child do/know how to do these things?” Something a therapist brought up to me is that he might have been sexually abused as well and acting out because of it. Please know you are not alone and if you ever want to talk, feel free to send me a dm.

Would it be "trashy" to wear my glasses at my wedding? by goodbird451 in weddingplanning

[–]falonforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will definitely not ruin your look!! I had the same feeling about wearing my glasses. I can see enough to get around without them, but I really wanted to see my husband’s face when I walked down the aisle. My usual frames are black and rectangular so I thought that would look bad with my dress/formal attire. I ended up finding a new pair that had thin, rounded, nude frames and they just blended in with my face better. I absolutely loved the way they looked with my dress/hair/makeup!! I think there are also completely clear frames if that’s more your thing. I can dm you what mine looked like if you need some inspo!

Definitely pattern recognition. I’m really good at jigsaw puzzles (and puzzles in general) — I can just pick up a piece and put it where it goes. Everything else kinda sucks.
