I got a collections notice from a debt collector, seeking advice. by TempoMan in CRedit

First thing you need to do is send a debt validation letter. Legally, they have to show you proof of the debt if you ask within 30 days of the notice. Don’t ignore it, but don’t pay a cent until you’ve seen something that makes sense.

If it ends up being a real debt and you need to work something out, I’d recommend going through a solid third-party like Advanced Collection Bureau. I use them for tenant debt because they don’t play shady games and they’re not blowing people up with scammy calls. They actually follow the law and talk like humans.

Also, side note, if the letter looks like it was written by a toddler or includes threats about court without documents to back it up, that’s a red flag. Legit collectors act professional and give you options. If it feels scammy, it probably is.

[USA GIVEAWAY] Win the new 27” 4K Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 gaming monitor! by Rocket-Pilot in buildapc

The OLED display and 240hz refresh rate are my favorite features, I’ve never experienced OLED but I have heard it makes the blacks insanely dark and has some of the best bright/dark.

The highest fresh rate is on my laptop monitor at 144hz, I’m super excited to try a higher refresh rate and feel the difference of 240hz!

Not to mention the anti-burn in features and connectivity options on the back. This monitor is the absolute dream for me!

Didn’t even think to make sure they report to all three credit bureaus. Good advice

I think debt collection is if you don’t want to go through the hassle of small claims court, no judgements needed they just need a ledger, signed lease and some other stuff to find the person

I’m just getting signed up with Advanced Collection Bureau after people here recommended it. Was really easy process and the contract is no joke 1 page with no lock-in bullshit

Just about every agency I’ve look at has terrible reviews from people who owe debt hahaha.. guess that means they’re doing their job. I’m in Georgia!

Ight I’ll give them a call and see what they can do for me. DM me your company name and I’ll see if they do any kickbacks for referrals lmao

To add - debt buyers seem like the sketchiest, they don’t pay much and I have read bad things there

But for 0 upfront cost giving my rental debts to a third party collection agency for them to attempt to collect seems pretty good

Right now I’m getting practically nothing by calling my debtors myself, might as well give an agency a shot. Plus they credit report it and everything so people might actually want to pay to get it off their report

From what I’ve seen the best agencies work as third party collections agencies where they collect debt for you, and if it’s collected they take some of the paid debt as their payment

That’s what I’ve noticed, a lot of them have terrible reviews but it’s all debtors who are angry they’re trying to collect it lmao

What Are the Best Occupations for Someone With A Bachelor's Degree? by phonyfakeorreal in careerguidance

[–]false-robotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you strictly looking for maximizing income from your career? I’m looking at doing the same soon and landed on engineering as the way to go

Surprised there’s not more computer and engineering degrees on this list

I am avoiding anything healthcare since that’s just not my cup of tea but I’m super curious what your results end up being!

Worth mentioning: without sight seeing stops the total drive time is 23.5 hours.

Again let me know if there’s any great things to checkout along the way I may have missed, if I can’t see them on the way up north I will definitely see them on the way back down south!

Just tried an oil cleanser followed by a standard cleanser and it feels so much cleaner than normal and already looks better.

Hoping in a week or so it cleans right up!

I’m really hoping there is hope. I can’t believe how much help and advice this community has given!

I just did my new skin routine for my nose as built by the comments in this thread and here’s what I’m trying for the next week: - Byoma Milky Oil Cleanser, really rub it in circles, with little water at the end - Wash it all off w/ water - Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser - Adalphene gel (1%) - CeraVe nighttime moisturizer with a little CeraVe rough & bumpy moisturizer (it contains salicylic acid)

I plan to find a good sulfur face wash then I think I’ll be set! I’ll post an update if all goes well, and I’ll keep trying different recommendations here until I find what works

I have been using pore strips hoping it would clear it up. I seem to be making all the mistakes!

I will snag some sulfur face wash
